There are a lot of festivals in Japan. I’ll show you one of the most beautiful festivals in Japan.

“Procession of Heian period” is held in Kumano-Kodo (Wakayama Prefecture, Japan) which is known as a world heritage. This traditional event is based on “Kumano-mode” which goes back to the Heian period.

Long ago, pilgrimages to the Kumano-Kodo became popular and a lot of people visited there. This pilgrimage to the “Kumano-Kodo” is called “Kumano-mode”. The spectacle of their advancing on a narrow mountain trail in a row is very beautiful. It is held in November every year.
