23 Funny Comics With Unexpected Twists And A Dash Of Dark Humor Made By This Artist
Interview With ArtistToday we'd like to introduce you 3Palec, who is a globe-trotting artist, known for creating vivid, surreal comics and illustrations that show a glimpse of our society in an exaggerated way. Without a fixed country of residence, he draws inspiration from his travels and experiences around the world.
Bored Panda reached out to the artist and here's what he had to say about himself, "Currently, I am not tied to any country; I travel and intend to continue this way. Recently, I launched an NFT project, ENDLESSTATE, comprised of 10,000 NFTs. This project explores some of the most significant human topics: religion, society, politics, and war. What makes the project unique is that every detail within it carries a concept."

For this joke to work you have to disregard everything you know about how a ballerina is supposed to dress.
When asked, "How did comics come into your life?" 3Palec revealed, "I’ve never been interested in comics. It’s just type of art that can best convey a dynamic story in static. One illustration cannot convey the sequence of actions."
On the topic of his goals with his art, 3Palec said, "I put an idea into each illustration, but I don’t have a task to convey something to someone, because people see what they want to see, and I try to expose human vices." His art is a tool for reflection, rather than direct communication.
Questioned about his inspiration, 3Palec responded to us that, "People cause me the greatest interest. People in real life, people on the Internet, people in extreme situations... I just look at what is happening, draw conclusions and create my illustrations." He finds inspiration in the multifaceted nature of human behavior and life experiences.
Responding to the query, "Did you study to be the artist you are today?" he disclosed, "I have no art education. Today this is not a problem, if someone wants to be an artist, illustrator or designer, it is enough just to practice on paper or in graphic editors." He emphasized the importance of practice over formal education in his creative journey.
Finally, when asked about his frequency of creating comics, he said, "I draw comics with different frequency. I create sketches almost every day, but due to the fact that I am only interested in unique or unusual ideas, not all sketches turn into illustrations." He underscored the importance of originality in his work, not just productivity.
I don't see any problem with this. Who says males/transmasc/non-female-identifying people can't be "ring people"? :D
I know you wanna dance, baby! (I know you see me looking at you on the daily!)
When I was in Spokane during a heavy wildfire season (pre covid) I saw a man lift his mask to take a smoke lol
I wish that, in America, we allocated at LEAST some of the gigantic military-spending budget to supporting and caring for our veterans, especially disabled veterans. My dad was in the Air Force during Vietnam, and I had to fight tooth and claw to get the Veterans Association to provide even MINIMAL help after his accident. I know their resources are stretched thinner than an onion skin, and it's not my local VA branch's fault, but it was still frustrating af. Whatever you may think about America's military, and whatever one's opinion on wars, it still SUCKS that our veterans get effed over. Most don't go into the military just because they want to kill people. Most are just normal people who need a job/education (or both.)
Part of the reason I tried to explain to my 17yo nephew "hold off for a little while, travel after you graduate", in hopes that he doesn't enlist. The US military culture of take orders without question, beat your body up for us, but we won't be there to help you when your body starts to fail because of your service to us....they routinely spend billions on fleets of machinery that is not needed but they can't pay their troops a decent salary? They can't pay for the medical needed to treat PTSD and any number of other medical problems but "oopsie, we blew up a billion dollar plane on accident, let's do it again"?!?! 😡😡😡
Load More Replies...WWI veterans marched on Washington, demanding the benefits promised them. They were labeled Commies, and driven back with tear gas, tanks, and bayonets. By the ARMY (on Hoover's command).
As an Air Force Vietnam Conflict Veteran, I offer that we were not treated much better upon return. Especially in regard to securing employment...
Load More Replies...Another viewpoint, the soldiers are men, women are passing by ignoring them. 1. Are all the pretty girls ignoring them because they are not interested in broken men? 2. Is this representative of a country that does not let women go into combat? 3. Is this a 'time' when women were in the military, but not able to be deployed. I'm ex military, 1980, 81 82 and 83. Male dominated role, was really pissed to find out I couldn't be deployed! I had a lifelong injury despite this. So many different viewpoints....
It seems to have omitted women veterans. You know cuz there haven't been any women to become disabled or died during war.
As someone who goes to the VA hospital too often, what is depicted here is no longer the case. With this most recent, 20-year war, there has been a huge increase in the number of women veterans that I see with missing limbs and obvious war related trauma. Add to that all of the wound that are not visible and you have a huge increase in the number of female veterans in need of VA services.
And please stop spreading democraty and freedom to other countries
The one on the roller plank reminds me of Soviet removal of all disabled veterans out of Moscow post ww2. I have a feeling in a year or two we get to see the return..
Soldiers risking their lives for their country, mostly coming back with major/permanent injuries, or with severe PTSD/trauma, and our country treats them like garbage. It sucks
He has no legs, so his mobility device is basically a board with wheels :( It reminds me, in concept, of a character from Philip K. Díck's novel "Dr. Bloodmoney". There was a character named Hoppy Harrington who was afflicted with phocomelia and required a cart to get around.
Load More Replies...“They” have literally kicked veterans out of hotels for homeless to house illegals. Veterans get “VA” medical care 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 while illegals get free medical. Y’all, it’s not rocket science where the money goes. It goes where you can buy votes.
man, those soldiers were injured for the country, and this is how to society treat them
This is about how men suffer the horrors of war while women get through life rather easy based on their looks.
A.) Not all men suffer the horrors of war. B.) Not only men suffer the horrors of war. Besides women in combat, have you never heard of the Rape of Nanking? C.) Women make less money and have less power than men. They also face sexist double standards like being expected to be the main caregiver of children and those who are old and sick. Their life is not easy.
Load More Replies...LOVE IT!!! Scooter Guy probably didn't see that comin'! No pun intended. 🤣
The title of this one on the artist's Instagram is "Russians people". I don't know if I get the proper full cultural reference (I'm American) but I think I get the gist XD
Aha, I knew I recognized that knòb in the red suit. For those who don't know, this is a reference to a UFC MMA fight that occurred on October 6th, 2018. The two fighters were Conor McGregor (an absolute dumpster-fire ásshole waste of a human being) and Khabib Nurmagomedov, a fighter from Dagestan who is incredibly talented, hardworking, and, by all accounts, a decent dude. In comparison, McGregor has been arrested for reckless driving, driving without a license, and once literally ATTACKED a bus with a mob of 20 other people. McGregor threw a metal equipment-dolly at the bus, shattered some windows, and sent two people to the hospital. He has also attacked a fan and punched an old man in a pub. (That's just a FEW of the criminal things he's done. He has 18+ convictions.) I absolutely loathe McGregor, as talented as a fighter he may be. The good news? Khabib thrashed McGregor in UFC 229 and won by submission.
Claire - while the artist says they are a "globetrotter" and "is not tied to any country", I believe they are Russian by birth/origin. That would explain why a lot of their comics are a little out of the range of "typical" US/UK understanding. I had to go to their Instagram and translate a lot of their descriptions from Russian before I understood/got some of the comics... and even then, there are a lot I don't understand, because the cultural impact and influences are beyond my understanding. I can still giggle at the ones I DO understand, though!
Load More Replies...Did not get the gist of most of these. Was too distracted by the fact that ALL the women look like pinup models in miniskirts, except when an ugly woman was necessary for comic effect.
This whole page is turning into a woke war and i f*****g hate it. People can't appreciate cheap jokes or aren't allowed to do it anymore. F**k america and their political correctness.
