A week after getting an iPad I feel like I’ve created my best piece yet. I’ve always struggled with a debilitating fear of making mistakes in whatever art/craft project I’m working on. I don’t know whether it’s connected with my Borderline Personality Disorder or the ADHD (inattentive type), which give me enough problems to deal with.
I created my first digital drawing when I was just 13 years old on a ZX Spectrum 48k, I ‘drew’ a car by writing a program using Basic (yep way back in the 1980’s), so I’ve always had an interest in digital art. Fast forward to today, with my tablet contract finishing, and feeling impulsive, I decided to get an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. It’s been a steep learning curve because I’ve always been an Android user, but well worth it.
The freedom I feel when drawing digitally is incredible. It’s liberating and something that would have taken me months to do only took three days!
