I am Parth Kothekar from Ahmedabad, India. For more than 4 years now I have been experimenting with, and learning from, papercuts. In order to challenge myself, I come up with a thematic series of artworks from time to time.

I have shared all my previous series on Bored Panda (find here, here and here).

This time, I wished to go intricate like never before which motivated me to work with paisley designs. Not only are they intricate, but they also resemble traditional Indian art forms.

Each artwork is cut out with a craft knife and took me a minimum of 7 days to complete.

My artworks are available for purchase on Etsy.

The thought of trying to do this myself is giving me anxiety.

At first, my eyes deceived me and I thought that you are actually cutting around what seemed to be a stamped on model. While even that in itself would be very hard, I thought it's a little bit like cheating. Needless to say, I have to collect my jaw off the floor now, realizing you are doing this free-handedly. This is amazingly intricate and delicate, like a paper filigree. I would really love a video timelapsing your work. Respect!

Just like everyone else he fooled you as well, i know this guy, he graduated from Hogwarts and is a pro magician. Those all are made just by his thoughts.

I pictured a paper snowflake approach to making these, where you fold the paper a few times and cut out some pattern. Wow, these are all the more amazing knowing that every single part is hand cut.

Are you free handing with razor alone or do you draw it in pencil first?

Huge waste of time I hate when people do things original and it takes so long to do this art. You need to make sure that people are going to respond well to your investment before you take a bunch of time working on your trade. Please get a real job
