My Japanese-style Ink Drawings Inspired By Katsushika Hokusai

I make Japanese style drawings using ink and a quill. They were inspired by the Japanese Edo-period artist Katsushika Hokusai (“The Great Wave off Kanagawa”).

The first time I saw his work, was in a museum exhibition in Berlin and I’ve been captivated ever since. Most of the time, I use traditional “Shikishi” thick paper to draw on.

I would love to see more of it! Especially if you could show your own surroundings and time using that technique
