Equity is what the German health insurance system tries to achieve: Everybody pays the same % of their wages (14,7 if I am not mistaken) into the insurances, but everybody receives the treatment they need, independent from how much you put in. The system is not flawless, of course, because of many reasons. One of them is that higher wages can opt out (they may not return if the wages drop!) and lower wages are more impacted by a percentage than higher. The Dutch try a different approach, everybody pays the same for basic cover (no opt out).

Aluminium will not go away, since it's an inert metal (its affinity towards oxygen just creates protective layer, but otherwise it's the same thing). Good stuff with aluminium is that it's fully recyclable and reusable. But since it's cheap, we don't bother recycling it as much as we should...

If you have a smart tv, SmartTube is godsent. It is an app for YouTube on smart tvs that can do many things mentioned here and more. Edit to add that for Android users, you can check out NewPipe. It's YouTube app, but better.

Okay, apart from the ad-block, I might check out volume-scroll because that slide-bar is really annoying. As for sponsor-block: Well, the content-creators have to get their money SOMEHOW. And since pretty much everyone uses an adblock, the sponsor-blocks inside the video give them money to continue giving us some content. I am fine with that - I can just use the L- button to skip forward a few seconds and do so until sponsoring is gone.

Also useful is any add-on that provides playback speed control. Yes, YouTube does provide a speed control, but it doesn't work on shorts, and it takes some fiddling to use, and doesn't provide as much control (for instance, in one extreme case I was toggling between 1.5x and 2.2x in a conversation between a man with a thick Scottish accent I couldn't understand above 1.5x and another man that I could understand better.)

Is there a chart of how much meat per animal is tossed every day? Separate for "could not be sold" and "customer didn't eat it and forgot to use the freezer". Killing animals for food is not always and in general bad, but if you kill it, you have to eat it.
