Equity is what the German health insurance system tries to achieve: Everybody pays the same % of their wages (14,7 if I am not mistaken) into the insurances, but everybody receives the treatment they need, independent from how much you put in. The system is not flawless, of course, because of many reasons. One of them is that higher wages can opt out (they may not return if the wages drop!) and lower wages are more impacted by a percentage than higher. The Dutch try a different approach, everybody pays the same for basic cover (no opt out).

The tiger one is wrong. In captivity it's generally 19/20yrs not 25. Unless there has been an individual tiger that's lived that long. Wild ones it's much less, maybe 15yrs if they do well. Same with lions.

Mayfly: 3 years (one hour to one week as an adult)

Cat's lifespan is 20 years not 15. Eventhough now the eldest in my country lived till 33

It's a bit misleading to list four animal groups and then mix in one habitat (aquatic) - by that logic you'd have to bi-colour the whals. (Also the lis is a tad short on amphibians, and stingy with reptiles. There's a lot of frogs, toads, or newts, plus a handful of snakes out there. AND FISH GALORE. The longer I look at it the more irritated I get.)

Not quite correct...this chart discounts the larval stage of insects. Some, including mayflies, can live for several years as nymphs or larvae before their metamorphosis to the short lived adult stage.

There are interesting facts about lifespans. These numbers likely come from the average lifespan taken across humans, which of course includes humans that died shortly after birth. If you exclude deaths under 5, the average lifespan obviously increases. Why this is interesting is that once you get to 60 you aren’t nearing the end of your lifespan, if you make it that far, you are likely to make it to 80.

Aluminium will not go away, since it's an inert metal (its affinity towards oxygen just creates protective layer, but otherwise it's the same thing). Good stuff with aluminium is that it's fully recyclable and reusable. But since it's cheap, we don't bother recycling it as much as we should...

Is there a chart of how much meat per animal is tossed every day? Separate for "could not be sold" and "customer didn't eat it and forgot to use the freezer". Killing animals for food is not always and in general bad, but if you kill it, you have to eat it.
