Australia is a continent, a country, and a land where kangaroos outnumber people. However, according to its most active online ambassadors, the place offers much more than the famous marsupial.
The subreddit ‘Australia’ unites locals and visitors who regularly share candid glimpses into this corner of the world. Whether it’s about the locals’ dry humor or the even drier landscapes, the posts touch on almost every aspect of everyday life, painting a picture for even those who haven’t experienced it to get an idea of what it’s about.

Ive always wanted to move to Australia but I was married to my ex and he didnt want to. got divorced a few years back but then realized I have the dumbest dog and cat ever and I have to wait for them to pass because they would be dead within a week from trying to be friends with every damn animal and insect there. they do that here but at least they are mostly not poisonous or venomous. not the case in Australia. 10lbs dog, 16lbs cat.. dumb as rocks love them to death but they stiff or lick or cuddle everything...
Busted This Fat Bastard Stealing Dog Food Yesterday
Sorry you are getting downvotes. For the uneducated Cane Toads were an introduced species that was brought to Australia to help with the bugs but they went ballistic breeding at an alarming rate with few predators due to their toxic skin and plenty bugs they were too good at eating native bugs as well as other native frogs and amphibians. They need to be culled and it's a good comment to say they should be killed humanely as people have killed plenty inhumanely.
Load More Replies...Yes, well poisonous...so it will kill wildlife if the eat it, poison is in the glands on the side of its head. Introduced species, invasive, and the only toad species in Australia. We only have native frogs, nearly 300 species, and they are gorgeous
Load More Replies...After reading the comments and learning that these things are wreaking havoc on your ecosystem and are supposed to be culled humanely, how do they suggest you do this? When I lived somewhere that had many venomous snakes, my neighbor had one in his yard and he pretty much separated the snakes head from its body, with a garden shovel. If the toad has toxic/poisonous skin, should this young girl be handling it, with bare hands?
Any method that kills them immediately so they don’t suffer. She probably shouldn’t be holding it bare handed- I know I wouldn’t

Probably somewhere in the original 70 images that we can no longer access. 🙄
Load More Replies...OK, it might not have been brilliant but I enjoyed it. I did want to know about the hot dog type thing in the picture though.
