Most of us know by now that social media is a realm of polished lives. Scrolling through Instagram, one might feel that everyone's living an ideal life, having perfect bodies, and not facing any difficulties whatsoever. However, we should keep in mind that all we see there is just a tiny percent of what their life is all about and Vienna Doll is here to prove that!
Vienna Doll is a Thai Model who decided to share her "Instagram vs. Reality" shots with her followers on Twitter and Instagram. After our previous post got so much of your attention, we decided to come back with even more of Vienna Doll's funny pictures illustrating what's behind the beautiful photos we see on social media. Bored Panda contacted Vienna Doll again to ask her more about this funny photo series. We got curious about how the idea to create "Instagram vs. reality" was born. The model replied that she thinks a lot of people on social media "are fake" and she has never seen a Japanese model (because she worked as a model in Japan for 7 years) do anything like that so she decided to start uploading these shots herself!
The model shared that usually people love her photographs and they say that they can very much relate to them: “this is the real me!” Vienna Doll also added that the "Instagram vs. reality" pictures contributed to her popularity a lot. At the moment she has around 260k followers on Instagram and 426k subscribers on YouTube!
not wrong. i’ve been in a sauna before and had to get out before long; it was too unbearably hot for me (the other people in there were fine though, so idk)
Modeling is Vienna Doll's main occupation. But she also has a YouTube channel where she uploads videos of her traveling around and tasting different food. If you're interested, you can find Vienna's videos here.
To share more details about herself, the model revealed that she loves to see and explore new things, go to places she's never been before and talk with people whom she's never met. "I love to explore and see new things."
Vienna has also added that she loves her job but she does not rule out the possibility of looking for alternative job opportunities since working as an influencer, according to her, is unstable.
what in the world is that shirt he’s wearing in the second pic? never seen one like it
luckily its satire, but i do not get when online people do dumb s**t like this to make themselves look original and cool.
Load More Replies...Yeah, I always sit in a lake with a desk and a carton of milk reading the newspaper too
This is all the same woman. Showing what happens behind the scenes in the effort to get the the perfect shot. Or purely showing people that this is not how she looks 24/7, and the same applies to all other influencers.
Load More Replies...Which is more unrealistic her in standing water or reading the newspaper?
I like the second one better, she looks like she's actually enjoying herself
me and mr friends trying to be serious for a cute picture vs. what actually ends up happening
I’m sure it’s a generational thing bit I simply can’t stand all these instagram type pictures. Now it’s “and here’s me again looking real ( but still super cute)” They can live their lives how they want I guess.
A lot of people are saying these photos are/look staged! It doesn't matter! Because at least she is willing to look ugly to show other people that she isn't a stupid, stuck-up, terrible, horrible influencer or model who only cares about how beautiful they look! THIS LADY IS WILLING TO SHOW US HER UGLY SIDE! Why does it matter that they are staged?! At lease we get to see it. Beautiful anyways!
Although these photos are probably staged, I don't feel that that's an issue here. I'm not looking for someone who is always making mistakes but I feel that these pictures represent the fact that mistakes are natural and although she might not be making "mistakes" she is at least accepting them as an influencer and is willing to post these pictures online as an influencer showing people that although she might be really pretty when she's trying, she ALSO TRIES NOT TO BE. And that's something I respect. **ALSO P.S: Can someone please explain to me why people are being negative about these photos being staged? I might be a bit naive, but I don't understand why staging a mistake is bad, especially if you're using that to show that not everything is always beautiful about you. I get that it might be for attention, but I really want to think that one thing online is not terrible
Load More Replies...They all look staged to me- but the right photos- those are awesome! And she is gorgeous no matter how perfect the picture- or how disastrous the before and after... but again- clearly those are more fun!
"Look at me, I'm sooo hot in my staged photos and sooo funny in my other staged photos, hahaha please pick me"
Says the one shouting their opinion into the air online... No irony there lovey. Nope. None at all.
Load More Replies...Gee why do girls have insane beauty standards and insecurities? Instagram is based on fake girls/guys who do stupid stuff for likes.
(Personal Opinion) It seems less a problem that Instagram pics are staged and more a problem that people compare their real life to staged photos.
