This Couple Makes Up To $9000 Per Instagram Photo While Traveling, And Here’s How They Do It
Jack Morris and Lauren Bullen have been living what most people on Instagram would call “life goals” since they met in Fiji last year. Not only do they spend their days documenting their world travels with flawless photos, they get paid up to $9000 USD for each one they post.
With Jack now at 2 million Instagram followers, and Lauren close behind with 1.2 million, the couple now makes enough money from the brands and tourism companies that sponsor them to fully supplement regular adventures around the globe, as well as a home base in Bali. In a Q&A recently posted to his official website, DoYouTravel, Jack shared a few tips that helped propel him and Lauren to Insta-fame, and you may want to take notes.
“I edit all my photos in the same kind of style with my own lightroom presets,” he said of their dreamy ‘matching’ effect. He also added that the couple mostly shoots around 1 hour after sunrise, since that tends to be the quietest time of day. The couple reportedly won’t take less than $3000 USD for a post.
Read Jack’s full Q&A here, though be warned – it just might make your dayjob a little harder to get through.

Share on FacebookI wish Bored Panda would stop sucking up to the nouveau riche of Instagram.
Instead of saying "What are they doing that I too can use in order to make a good living", why are so many expressing outrage and jealousy of someone who has used successful entrepreneurship? If they have a few tricks that set them apart, I would think anyone would rather learn how to emulate them and also be successful. I just don't understand this animus toward success.
Load More Replies...First, I thought it was joke-the whole article about their "life", and money which they mention in "btw-tone". And now, I'm just gonna say something that I never ever expecting to say on BPanda. In my whole life I haven't seen this amount of crappy, shity, selfish poop in one place. What are they? Except being on the major ego-trip? They are so special, what about again? I can't even comprehend what do they know, and where *this-whatever it is* is going. I'm still not sure if I find myself in some kind of parallel universe, or anything that could explain all of this. I'll take anything!
I think they are made up by a collective subconscious frivolity. I find those pictures easy to masturbate to. Nice pics though. :-D
Load More Replies...Most of their photos he is shirtless and she is wearing a bikini. Proving again that sex sells. If they were both overweight but living this kind of life, they would have a dozen followers, mostly negative body shaming comments, and zero companies willing to pay them to travel. They don't make money because of their travel and some kind of lifestyle people dream of, they make money selling their bodies. Which is fine. I have no problem with that, but their sponsorship would dwindle if they kept their clothes on.
Disappointed that Bored Panda resort to posting this here. It's nothing new... just another artificial couple posting generic 'I bet you wish you were me' photos. C'mon, Bored Panda, you can do better than this... Don't support these superficial, shallow posts.
"Superfical, shallow posts" that is exactly it right there!! I don't like seeing this stuff here either. I like art& inspirational stories!
Load More Replies...That's a bit the limit of instagram. What I love in Instagram is real people authentic (yet artistic) pictures. I typically hate those kind of young, healty and new rich people who travel on a daily basis as if it was normal and natural. They are in the Seychelles on Monday, Kenya on Tuesday, Dubai on Wednesday, etc... It's annoying, it's fake and it kills the artistic authenticity of instagram. Plus their pictures are indeed very clean, but boring, it's just palm trees, beaches and dunes... If you give me 5000€/picture in can do the same. It's too easy. I prefer talented people with their own means who really tell you a story. I'm fed up those talentless socialites, models, daddy's sons, etc... who share pictures on Instragram as if it was real life.
Come on Boredpanda, something i like about you is that you don't normally focus in hot people and their money. Don't make me change my mind
How sad that if you're young, white, and look like a model, people (advertisers) will pay you ridiculous amounts of money to loaf around the world taking pictures of yourself. WTF? Whatever happened to rewarding people who do something important and meaningful? Why do we, as a society, reward these vacant people??? I'm appalled.
Familiar with the "catch me outside" girl from the Dr. Phil program? Somehow, this is what our "society" rewards. And the carnival music plays on....
Load More Replies..."Lauren, 23, is a self-taught photographer" seriously? SE-RI-OUS-LY? The only thing she self-taught herself at the age of 23 was how to sell this fake "perfect lifestyle" c**p on social media.
Beautiful pictures of beautiful people. Nice to look at and good for them that they can live their dream life, but do/should I care? The only problem I have with posts like these is that it gives many young people that you don't need a specific skill/education to make money and become famous and that life is all about fun and games. In my opion it promotes selfs centeredness and shallownes that is becoming more and more prevalent in our modern society. Please share more inspirational stories! Stories about clever ideas, people that make a difference or things that warm the heart. Less people simply promoting themselves and rubbing their so-called great life under everyones noses.
Why the f**k is this on bored panda? This is garbage. This kinda s**t keeps getting posted I'll stop bothering to come to the site.
1/2 Their success is not difficult to decipher, although it is quite puzzling that the success is that massive, if we measure it in money made. This is the lifestyle most people believe they deserve, and this lifestyle is being modeled by two young, fresh, reasonably good-looking people of obviously inoffensive sexual orientation and gender identification. They are in good shape, they are living large, they have these larger-than-life props, and they don't mind manipulating you via dogs, hippos, whales, elephants and an occasional gratuitous meat shot - butt, torso, legs, arms, each of which is perfectly toned and hairless. They are trying to remind us that this is the ideal, this is what we should all aspire to, and advertisers agree with them since they give this otherwise unremarkable couple tons of money to keep the rest of us wondering how come we were born to be wingless and pathetic.
Hi-I am ridiculously good looking. I too, am ridiculously good looking. Wow, we have so much in common! Can't two ridiculously good looking people live off taking pictures of themselves all the time and selling them? B/c we should be able to just be attractive for a living and have people gaze at us all the time ...like we gaze at us.... blerg
I'm just going to put this out there: he has 500 pictures, follows 109 and somehow has 2M followers? 🤔
Oh, I'm gonna be the a*****e, here. Ready? She's 23?!?! Get out of the sun! Holy Sh*t.
So much for all my vaca pics of burned nose and palm trees but I must say there is always a group and lots of laughs!!
Millions of followers made by reposting other creatives' pics into a so called feature account (doyoutravel) - good content made on other people's effort - & then all of a sudden transforming the feature account into a personal one. *slow clap*
It kinda bugs me a lot of people forget that part of doyoutravel's history. Super grubby

This story is so fake ... Come on now ... most of these photos are simple amateur photos, over exposed or badly edited ... it's just a bunch of rich kids posting photos and someone made up this story ... fake
Indonesia, where you live, is not a third world country. Also Dubai is not a country, it's a city. i am sorry to say but with so much travelling it seems you ignore basic things. Moroccans are very kind, polite and nice people, especially in Marrakesh. Unfortunately quite often English people around the world experience a bit of hostility from locals. Can you possibly guess why?? You need to check that. But harassing tourists in Marrakesh for money is indeed a daily thing as it is in all countries in Africa, South East Asia and all Americas. They see us as dollar and there is a reason for that.
"Are you serious BPanda???" "Why are you glorifying stuff like this?!?!" "I hate people who sell sex for attention!!!" Well, those are my thoughts when I first saw this post. But then I think again: If I have a body like that, moderate photography & visual editing skill, will I do what they do..??? HELL YES. ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY...!!! I will definitely do whatever they're doing right now, living my dreams and make a lot of money because I'm a hypocrite, I hate my fat a*s body and won't do anything about it to change into a better shape so I just complain and tell how much I hate them and relate it with body shaming and social media validation because I'm a pretentious liar, who is less than 20 years old, read Tumblr everyday and have Buzzfed on notification. #BlackLivesMatter #AmericanMuslim #LoveYourself #StopCyberBullying
Notice one thing about all of these photos....they are devoid of the teaming masses of people that you will see when you get to these destinations. Although most people will never realize this, it isn't the destination that is most appealing, it's the solitude. It's the same way that hotels, resorts, vacation destinations, car manufacturers and everyone else sells you on their product or service.
So do they make any profit if the money they make is for paying the money they used on the trip?
Here is how he did it. Up until he was on 1mln or so DoYouTravel was a feature account featuring beautiful work of other photographers. When he got big enough he deleted all those previous photos and decided posting his own. As for his unique instagram style the photos are edited with VSCO filters which he may have twitched a bit and that's it. The make their lifestyle look like it's a life goal for everyone but trust me it isn't.
Aww that's something wow. These photos are really inspiring. Do follow for a better traveling plan. Visit our website
I found on several blogs an excellent post (English & French) from @bernard jomard published in several countries, Canada, France , Switzerland, and so on… giving most of the details needed to become an influencers and to make $ 3.000-5.000 a month or more – go check it out on http://bernard-jomard.com/2017/06/19/influenceurs-marketing-jungle-sy-retrouver/

I wish everyone would use their best talents to live their dream. It takes risk to stop what you are doing and take the chance to take pics and live out the dream. Most people are just jealous. That is sad. The concept of doing something and being the best at it. So many people are scared to take risk and get out of the comfortable position. Yea to risk takers that take the chance to live their dream!
Sooooo basically have a hot blonde who shows her butt in every other photo and you're good.
Some of these are so fake, it's laughable. The elephant picture? C'mon. A high cliff in the savannah? The whale picture is the funniest. The blurry "bubbles" near the surface look more like those in a fish tank. Oh, and she's been shot standing. One cannot stay buoyant underwater with perfect posture and arms at one's side. Not to mention one foot is flat and the other pointed perfectly behind. Kudos to this couple but I don't believe a word of it!

Hot "carpet" cleaner alright. Why boredpanda do we bother to be still subscribed to your feed?! Find better material and a better staff.
What happens to the relationship when the thrill and excitement of travel and Instagram likes wears out?
Most of their poses and photo ideas are stolen from other bloggers and instagrammers. I feel like I`ve seen all of these before. The swing over Indonesian jungle? Just saw it on sincerelyjules insta a few days ago. I have nothing against people making money off their passion. Good for them. But at least don`t steal.
2/2 But I can't help but question the aesthetic choices they are making in processing photos they way they do. I admit I enjoy the compositions and the scenery, but I am not sure I see the reason to process photos in this tea-colored scheme, as if you are merging 1950's with here and now. I don't think there is anything wrong with this way of making a living. But what will they be doing when the butt drops, muscles turn into fat, face droops, and legs gets cellulite?
They made their fortune, good for them! I wish i could travel the world like this, too. But considering the high standards/quality that boredpanda sets up with their unique posts, it is just weak. I think that's why this post has so many negative comments. We are needy, this is too basic for us :D
Wow. Seriously. People have such crazy jobs I'm still DUMBSTRUCK 😱😱 REALLY LUCKY OF 'EM
This page really puts Jack the carpet cleaner up on a pillar and relegates Lauren the photographer to a passive 'girlfriend' role
Good on them, following their dreams. Unfortunately though, haters still gonna hate - so much negativity on this comment thread.
Because they just show off. OK their pictures are great, but you can give 9000€ to each of us to go on a paradise island and we will take the same pictures. It's annoying to have always those fake people who just pretend to life their lifes while it's all staged...

A lot of angry, jealous comments on here.. are you guys really saying that if you had the opportunity to travel the world with someone you love, visit amazing places and get paid for taking pictures you'd be like "nah I'm good, cleaning carpets is where it's at."? B******t. They're not doing anything wrong. Wtf
I completely agree...... PERFECTLY worded, chickie!
Load More Replies...Kind of hoping their next trip is to some jungle with angry tigers in it. Or cobras. They may be "attractive", but they definitely make traveling look ugly.
You can tell by the angry comments on this post whose lives suck, who will never be successful, who will never travel, who isn't happy now and who will never be happy. I love looking at pics like this. I instead will try to learn from them so that I can have a life like this. In fact, I refuse to wait til I'm job-free. Why not start now? Some of you angry people can't start now though cause y'all made wrong decisions. I on the other hand will be happy for them. Y'all stay mad tho.
If they weren't pretty......it would just be everyone elses standard Instagram feed of there holidays! And only your friends and family care....maybe, Same poses and all, certainly not ground breaking photography, these fads of making it 'famous' on instragram come and go...next!
You can criticize them all you want for whatever reason, weather credible criticism or not. But if they're making a killing of doing this, we're the suckers, not them.
I would take my life over theirs any day, no matter how much money they make.
Load More Replies...Wow bunch of haters on here. Stop complaining of others success and find your own also remember to have a great day.
Posted by a third party. Not the actual couple. Honestly the title tells you exactly everything you need to know about the post. Why are you all so Angry?
I love the photos, I think this couple is very clever and creative to make money so easily and with something they love = travelling. Their story reminds us to follow our dreams and to don't get stuck in work you don't like and what makes no sense to you. I t is a story you like or not .... but why being against it ????? Some comments I read are just pure jealousy! ... others full of judgements ..... Life is colourful ... and everybody has the right to live what they want to live ...... and stories like this are for ME very inspiring!!
I say "Good for them!" If you can make it work, then more power to you. To all the nay-sayers, let's be happy for each others success. Too much negativity in the world right now. Let's be part of the joy.
Good pictures. Getting rich and famous always needs both luck and hard work. I can see both here.
I feel bad for you if Bali is your home base. They probably live in a dirty, overdeveloped beach resort and can't go walk without touts
I wish Bored Panda would stop sucking up to the nouveau riche of Instagram.
