“I’m Immediately Canceling The Order”: Woman Goes Viral For Not Wanting Male Instacart Shoppers Doing Her Order And Explaining Why

Before the pandemic, the most common way of getting groceries was physically going to the supermarket. But because of quarantine and people needing to self-isolate, various online grocery stores became very popular and they maintained their popularity even after many of the restrictions were lifted as this way of shopping saves time and effort.

While the service is really convenient, TikTok user @_iamjamila had an interesting observation. She claims that if she sees that her shopper is male, she will cancel the order because in her experience, female shoppers are more thoughtful and provide a better service, but she was always disappointed if the shopper was a man.

Jamila is a recent graduate of Georgia State University and is trying herself out in different career fields. She is a writer, a content creator, a lifestyle YouTuber and blogger, the founder of Ring A Bell Productions and on top of that, she is also a mother.

On TikTok she has nearly 33k followers and as Jamila says in her bio, she “makes funny videos every now and then.” From time to time her videos go viral and recently one of them was viewed by 908k people and received 239k likes.

As mentioned, during the pandemic, more people were forced to use online grocery shops because of either self-isolation or because they wanted to have as little contact with other people as possible.

The Nielsen COVID-19 Shopper Behavior Survey showed that 34 percent of the respondents “said they shopped for groceries online more since COVID-19, and 60 percent of these households reported planning to continue shopping online after COVID-19.”

Companies like Door-Dash, Instacart, and Postmates experienced huge growth during the pandemic. For example, Instacart hired 30,000 people from mid-March to mid-April 2020 to make sure they are able to take customers’ orders.

Trends show that even more people will opt for online grocery shopping and according to Insider Intelligence, “in 2025, the average annual spend per digital grocery buyer will increase from $856.47 in 2021 to $1,524.84.”

She actually calls the male shoppers stupid as they will never contact her if an item she wants is out of stock, unlike the female shoppers

One of those people who choose to use Instacart is Jamila. In the above mentioned viral video, she says what may sound offensive, which is that when she sees that her Instacart shopper is a boy, she will cancel her order.

She calls the boys stupid and goes into what she means. When Jamila gets a woman shopper, she contacts her and asks if she is fine with her replacing an item that is sold out with another one. A woman shopper will try to get the better-looking fruit and vegetables.

And when Jamila’s shopper is a man, he will bring the wrong items and won’t reach out to tell her that a certain item in her basket is sold out. They won’t look at what fruit and vegetables they are putting in the bag, so she will end up with dirty and even rotten food. Men shoppers take more time and they mix groceries that should be put in different bags.

The TikToker compared male shoppers to her little brother shopping and she believes that they don’t think when they are doing their job.

In Jamila’s experience, male shoppers take longer and mix all the products that she would prefer bagged separately

In an interview for BuzzFeed, Jamila revealed that she had a hunch why there is such a difference in the quality of the service between men and women: “I think women are used to having to do more, especially when it comes to domestic duties.”

She also thought that men sometimes do some of the chores badly on purpose to not be asked to do it again and that it might explain why they are not good as shoppers: “Men will be sent to the store with a clear and concise list of very basic items and will come back with wrong items, or better yet, none at all. This is in hopes of not being asked to do this task anymore. And because this is a very common practice with men, it carries into their service, specifically with Instacart shopping.”

She suspects this difference in quality has roots in women being raised to be good at domestic duties while men will purposefully fail at them to avoid being further asked at all

Image credits: Steve Rainwater (not the actual photo)

Jamila’s experience was not isolated and a surprising number of people in the comments started sharing their own experiences of male shoppers bringing them the most ridiculous replacement items when they didn’t find the specific one the customer ordered. People also complained about male shoppers not being very attentive with the amounts of things they put in the bags, which leaves customers with too much of something they didn’t even want.

You can watch the viral video below

Have you ever noticed that your grocery order collected by a woman is nicer than one collected by a man? Do you agree with Jamila about why this could be? Let us know in the comments!

A surprising number of people related to Jamila and had bad experiences with getting something completely different than they ordered when their shopper was a man

I might get down voted, but hey here I go. I'm just gonna say this is rather sexist. There be guys in my fam/friend that are decent shoppers. Also had a few Instacarts where they did a good job on foods I selected and asked for alts. Things are different on a case-by-case basis.

It's not fair for her to discount someones abilities based on their sex but after reading this I have to say that I have had the same experience with male vs. female shoppers. I still wouldn't cancel my order just because it was a guy I just make sure to message the person male or female if there is something in my order I really need to be correct or if there is something I need to be specific about.

I had a male Instacart shopper and he texted me about everything. When he came to drop off he thanked me and apologized for all the questions, I said no problem I appreciated being asked if he didn't know. I buy a lot of produce (for the guinea pigs too). He told me that he was learning how to shop properly and asked if I could choose him as a preferred shopper so that he could learn more about shopping for produce in particular. I have had crappy shoppers of both sexes. I appreciate the ones that try. He is doing great by the way.

Wait, how do you get a preferred shopper? I’ve been asking for this option! Also, some of my best shoppers were men and the last woman shopper I had bagged my order together with another giving me 5 items I didn’t need and missing 7 of the things I ordered. This isn’t a gender problem, it’s a people problem.

This is like a person saying that if they see a stereotypical black person's name, they cancel the order because they never get the order right. If you agree that my example is wildly racist, you should also agree that what she is saying is hella sexist.

I'm also going to point out this is massively sexist. If I went on a video post and said that I will never use female shoppers because they don't know how to get good meat, and instead get the nasty c**p that has no marbling and was tough. Or that they couldn't tell a ribeye from a pork roast, I would be getting a massive amount of hate for being a sexist, chauvinistic pig. Why the hell is it different in her case? You mam, are a sexist person. I hope no man is stuck with you.

If you're so picky on who *shops for you* go out, get your own damn groceries and stop being a sexist. Every time I've used Instacart (all 3 times) it was a woman who was shopping. And each time she faffed it up. So seriously? Be an adult and go get your own groceries if you're that picky.

What's funny is if a guy was on there putting up messages about how women are stupid and he only took orders from men instacart shoppers this lady personally and the entire internet would be up in arms calling the guy a sexist pig.... But for some reason its totally okay for this lady to go on a sexist rant and have people in agreement with her simply because they're bashing on men. I'm a male, and an excellent shopper, so this lady can go screw her self. Its not a gender issue. Its a stupid and lazy issue

Her: "Boys are stupid" Also her: you said you wanted a pound of apples, but these are smaller. Should I get you a pound and a half? This is the kind of person that is confused by the question: What's heavier, a pound of iron or a pound of feathers?

When cooking, it's harder to get the same content from 4 small apples as you would from 2 large. You are having to deal with the cores and the skin. So it would be helpful if there is only small apples to have extra. It's not about the weight

I did grocery shopping for my old lady neighbor after her surgery. When making the list, I asked her questions about the produce, color, size, firmness, etc. That stuff is important to me. She got a bit annoyed and said it doesn’t matter. “Just get 4 regular bananas.” Some people don’t care 🤷‍♀️

This is why I always recommend that people pick up their food rather than get it delivered. I work at a store that shops for people. We do not deliver but have curbside type pick up. The actual employees shop the orders. They are TRAINED in how to handle the product, what is acceptable to give to a customer, and held accountable. So if you get bad produce or a bag mixed with raw meat and veggies better believe the shopper will hear about it. Often we will give out gift cards to unhappy customers and the next time this customer puts in an order extra care is given to make sure there's no future screw ups. Plus it helps keep the stores open and the need for actual human employees.

Off topic, but how is it that people are able to afford not only groceries, but people to shop for them? I know, I'm gonna sound SO Lower Middle Class, but paying people to do things I could do myself with a little extra effort just makes me feel guilty and uncomfortable.

In most circumstances it looks like it only costs $15 extra (all of prices are slightly inflated for all products) and for a lot of people the time/frustration of shopping is worth it. Also when you don't shop in store you spend less because you're not impulse shopping. I have definitely used these app because I find food stores sensorily overwhelming, the lights, sounds and people have definitely given me a panic attack. Also some people are sick/ have autoimmune disorders. There are definitely a lot of legitimate reasons to use these services.

I could understand if she was talking about male roomates or partners messing her order. But what service is she even using that they do not bring what you order? In all the stores I saw you order online what you want and thats it. Shenis probably using a service that hires freelancers that get the lowest salary and conditions and complaining that they dont do a premium service.

If a man ha disrespected ALL women shoppers like this he'd be lambasted. Take your lazy keeper to the store and do your own shopping, lazy. It's not okay to make sexist remarks and discriminate against half the world...even if you are a black woman discriminating against men.

Wow this is really disappointing and especially coming from a woman of color. Women and people of color are groups that have been historically discriminated against and that's exactly what is going on here. This is a customer service problem. It needs to be addressed by management and it means training people. I do not support discrimination. Shame on her for suggesting it.

I thought this was going to go a whole other direction, but ... I after reading everyone else's experiences and takes I guess there is something to this. I can't help but wonder if there's a guy instacart employee who's somewhere online ranting about all these "KaReNs" not happy with their order and how they're "working min. wage, f**k the accuracy. I hate my job. yadda yadda yadda". I'm gonna be on the look out now for something like that now. I don't agree that all boys are "stupid" and incompetent of getting the job right. I really do think it does have more to do with my suspicions that they just don't feel like trying to provide better service. Females do tend to want to be people-pleasers ( I know I am that way.) and, especially when it comes to fellow females, we know the reasons we get specific items. But men, as well. Men do understand those things, too.

I use to give my husband very detailed lists and he would often mess up. I struggle in supermarkets, so it was worth really talking about it. Now we sit together once a week and plan out our food. He makes the list himself. Because he knows exactly what I want to use something for, he can make substitutions easily. My mum always said my father was terrible at shopping, she thought he got it wrong on purpose. They tried our way. Turned out my dad just hated shopping because he was so sure he would mess up, he quite enjoys it now. Might not solve the instapacker thing, but I think it's got less to do with boys and girls and more to do with having the information to make changes. Pickers I have seen are often youngish boys or grown woman. Obviously an older person is more likely to have cooked more so might look at a list and guess what you want it for.

I'm an Instacart shopper and an Instacart customer and I understand what she means. I rarely have issues when women do my shopping and when I have men do it, there are issues 8/10 times. Thing is, men just aren't minded the same, in most cases, and that's okay. Expecting men and women to be the same is the ridiculous nature of this current social predicament we're in. Sexist or not, it's true. Case in point: my last male shopper replaced bananas with plantains, brought me a savoy cabbage instead of iceberg lettuce, and grapes instead of blackberries, and not as a replacement. I've had good shoppers and bad, but the female ones put in more effort. I still tip everyone and thank them, even if they're not good at it. I think people are too sensitive to accept that maybe there are some things women are typically better at and some things that men are typically better at. It's just nature. Note that I used the words "typically". Nothing is so black and white as always or never.

I can somewhat agree. Men are typically better at shopping for big ticket items or items of more importance such as riding lawn mowers, refrigerators, houses, cars. Items of less importance, usually most clothing, everyday food, women are better at. It's a waste of time for most men to spend a lot of brainpower on items that don'r really matter that much to most men. As long as the food is not rotten and taste ok, it's nothing special. At the end of the day it's an apple pie not rocket science. If you want most men to give something more attention and effort, raise the price or level of importance. That should certainly do the trick.

I don't know what gender my shopper was, but the one and only time I ordered groceries delivered to my house I was charged $130 for a $75 "estimated price" largely because the 8oz filet mignon I ordered was out of stock and they got me 16oz of a more expensive steak. I would have just told them to forget about it rather than get me way more meat than I needed. So I just went back to doing all the shopping myself.

I agree 100%! No Kosher Salt on the shelf? Well she won’t notice if I substitute Sea Salt. I now have 8 boxes of Sea Salt! My order is missing items but hey who wouldn’t want a bag of canned hash and something called “Spotted D**k!” Yes, this is what happens when I get a male shopper. Every. Damn. Time.

I agree that classifying all men as bad grocery shoppers is wrong, but I'm sorry if the shoe fits, the majority of men and especially younger men are in fact not good grocery shoppers. Now, I know some women, not anywhere near a majority, but some that are horrible shoppers. The fact remains it all comes down to practice, my daughter is an ace shopper. Why? Cuz she has accompanied me her literal entire life while grocery shopping. I have always shopped 1 time per month as to maintain a budget as a single mom. This means that many times we were in the grocery for a minimum of 2 hours. I shop by price per ounce, not sales. The fact is the sale is not always a better deal, the larger pack is not always a better deal than buying 2 of the smaller. It's a about the price per ounce! That and never ever ever shop while hungry! I'm not above stopping as soon as we get to the grocery and grabbing a box of granola bars, rip it open and have one, buy the remainder and in 5 min your full to shop!

It did take several shopping trips without me present, but after the wrong thing was brought home a few times my husband just started texting me when he had questions. After nearly 7 years, he texts a lot less often, usually just to let me know they're out and ask if I want something else. I don't know why everyone gets so bent out of shape about the genders being "equal" LOL no we're not, we both have different strengths and weaknesses.

The male shoppers and delivery guys always ruin half my order. Especially any bread item. Plus they always try to Heman every bag at once resulting in squished, busted, and bruised food. Just saying, this has been my experience. Maybe it's regional/cultural. Perhaps the more "macho loving red states" are more aggregious in this area. I live in the epitome of a red state unfortunately.

This is just like people saying they want a man who knows what they're doing when asking for help at a hardware store even if the woman who is trying to assist them knows what they're doing. Like it's ok to be negative and sexist towards males but it's wrong against women.

Jamila is so right! Without ever hearing anyone else say anything about it, I immediately noticed that my female shoppers are so much more conscientious than make shoppers. I agree with Jamila's reasoning too. It's not sexist when it's the facts of our experience! The girls actually communicate and use problem solving skills. They care about their customers and there's that human element. The boys just want to get it over with, get the wrong things, don't use their brains, and often for the wrong address or stole my food. Is it sexist to say men are more often criminals than females? Let's face it. Women are better shoppers because they probably cook themselves and were taught right at home.

I think their age is a factor. One gentleman picked beautiful food and packed everything including bread and eggs perfectly. I commented you must be married. He broadly smiled and said, yes I’ve been trained. I immediately added an extra tip. I was so impressed.

My problem with male deliverers is when they leave my order at an entirely different address and refuse to go get it to deliver correctly. I'm disabled and can't easily walk down the street to the random address they dropped it at. I'll text them before they've even left the block and they'll say, well that was the address on the order (it wasn't) and that they were already delivering the next order (that they haven't even picked up yet). We've had deliverers STEAL our order after marking it delivered and refusing to respond to texts. That was both male and female, but more male. Then we have to fight with the service to get our money back with them claiming the deliverers had performed the service, so service fees needed to be paid. WRONG!! I've done deliveries with a friend and if there's anything we don't understand about the order or if we can't find the address, we ALWAYS contact the customer to make sure we get it right. My friend is male, so not all dgaf.

What a sexist! Could you imagine the wailing and nashing of teeth if it were a man saying that about a woman? She isn't even trying to hide her misandry. She should look at the brightside of having a male shopper. Her orders are more likely to arrive since the male shopper is less likely to be involved in a traffic accident on the way to her home. Also he can get the groceries to her door faster as most men carry all the groceries in one trip from the car.😉

Wow, So honestly I can't agree with the male vs female comparison. This issue is not so cut and dry. Both have great shoppers. Not all shoppers bag the groceries, the stores have rules and many shoppers will just fix the bagging from the cashiers before delivery. But not all. Produce in all stores is a challenge, it has been sitting on carrier trucks longer and just isn't as fresh as should be. So much is dinged and dented during the delivery process. I believe Shipt offers the option to pick your shopper but instacart is making changes since they got a new CEO and are testing new options so perhaps that feature will come soon. Insta cart insist a replacement be done whether or not the customer was consulted or not or didn't respond. Shoppers are to find the closest and best replacement option. Some shoppers do really well with replacements while others do not. The Shoppers pay for the order and tip is docked if they don't replace the unavailable item. This is just a small response.

Part 2: Before attacking the gender of the shoppers or the shoppers at all. Perhaps look at the matter from their side. Many customers simply don't respond and the shoppers are timed, rated and have to make a choice for some one they don't know. This isn't always easy when stores are out of stock. Some customers leave great notes to help the shoppers while others don't. Letting a shopper know the biscuits are for soup would have been a great note to add under the biscuits. In the end that shopper saved you time and gas. If you live on the 3rd floor and they also just carried a month's worth of groceries up 3 flights, then they spared you that too. Just so much here that isn't considered from either side. In the end the original post was inconsiderate and discriminatory. Instacart should offer the the shopper a way to block the customer. Shoppers in that area could just boycott her in support of their fellow shoppers.

I sorry to say that I have to agree. The male shoppers I have had not only not get my order right but have replaced items I did not ask for. Why would you replace a bag of sugar with a bag of flour? Especially when flour is not even on the list. The female shoppers go out their way to inform me about bad fruit and ask what size I want of a certain product. It's a pleasure giving additional tips for service like that. Being handicapped, I can't get to the store on my own so this service is a Godsend.

No the problem is the universal rule of men/boys going into a room and not REALLY searching for what they're looking for. You know, lifting up things, turning things over. THIS mom's know all around the world when you son cannot find his shoes/toy/etc, proceeds to tell " Mom, I can't find it!", then mom finds it under a shirt that was in the middle of the room 😳. This goes on until adulthood when their wives have the same problem. I've had male Instacart shoppers say my item was unavailable multiple times in one cart, when I had a feeling they just weren't looking like they should. SMH. I pin it down to male ego, they just can't get it through their heads that anything could possibly hide from them as they are gods gift to mankind 😒🙄

As a female grocery store employee who deals with all sorts of online shoppers, this is extremely sexist. Her whole mindset of "this is women's work so of course they're better at it" is very dated. I have seen plenty of male shoppers through Shipt and Instacart that take pride and treat it like it's their career. Guys who have plenty of preferred shoppers, ones who are suuuper picky about how things are bagged, dudes who know their customers so well that they will ask to pick up items before we're out of stock, because they know the customer's regular shopping habits. I have also had women who don't even ask to substitute items, who will cancel orders at the slightest inconvenience, who shove bread or eggs in with heavy objects... And vice versa. It's not about if it's a man or woman doing it, it's about how much that person cares, whether it's a job or just a side hustle where they know they're still getting paid even if the service is bad.

She's right. In my experience I had came across the same thing, and I noticed that Male shoppers are less likely to call me/or text me if the item is out of stock. Some make unauthorized swap on their own without even notifying me. I had one guy swap out a bag of oranges for 5 jumbo oranges that cost $11. a piece. That's $55. Dollars for 5 oranges! I do not know who buy Giants oranges at $11 a piece when you can get a bag for $6.89

People may think it's sextist, but in my personal experience it's 100% accurate. Whenever I get a female shopper [which is rare] my order will be exactly what I wanted and great quality. The men have literally done the following - Replaced noodles with GUACAMOLE Put meat [and other heavy items] on top of my bread Filled the bags so full that they almost all are ripped or my groceries are rolling around their nasty trunk - then I have to help them take the groceries piece by piece in the house They have NOT ONCE read the specific instructions that tell them they can pull to the back of the house and unload through that door instead of taking the long stairway in the front - one guy even left the groceries at the bottom of the steps and then marked them delivered. HE DIDNT EVEN GET MY SIGNATURE Almost all of them have taken around an hour to get to me after they leave the store - the store is 10mins away/15 with red lights Never had those issues with the women shoppers.

Umm no. I had a woman instacart shopper get the wrong thing and didn't even notify me of the change. How can you confuse bananas with a bag a chips? No where on the list did I have chips on them. On the other hand I had a young guy consistently text me to make sure I got what I needed. Also my brother does more shopping than I do and shops well. What this young woman said was sexist.

I've had good and bad of both genders, but I will say anytime I've had a woman in her mid 30s to mid 50s, they are remarkable! I have had male shoppers send me pics saying they didn't have what I wanted I can see it in the picture... So that's pretty annoying because I could get my husband to do that for a lot less fees. I choose Instacart when I actually don't have time to do it myself, that means I also don't have time to baby my shopper. I preselect replacements for everything, too. So really they shouldn't need to contact me unless the backup is also out, which is rare.

While the ladies going on in this article are extremely sexist no doubt they have mosandrist tendencies and toxic femininity, I still couldn't help but laugh. I laughed because in my family from my dad's generation onward including myself, we are the cookers and food shoppers. The ladies in our family from a generation back all got lazy and barely can cook without going to some fast food restaurant each week. So to hear this makes me laugh as me and my dad can share the kitchen at the same time, but we tell the ladies to go sit down if they try to come in during a family gathering. He learned to cook from his mom, and me from him.

I've had a like 2 or 3 male instacart shoppers get the food then claimed they dropped it off and instead the took my stuff. I was outside of my house everytime I was refunded and I hope they were fired. Not to me tion they didn't even look for the stuff I asked for. The most recent one I got refunded and reordered a woman that dropped off another order of mind brought me this specific order. And she got everything on the order. I have gotten slow males one kept asking what I wanted items to be replaced with EVEN THOUGH I HAVE MADE IT VERY CLEAR QHAT REPLACEMENTS I WANTED. He called the customer care line they then called me I said I've made it clear so what is hard about it. I then said cancel the whole order. So I understand her frustration some of our millennial Gen males can't do laundry let alone grocery shop. And why I always have my child come with me

That's like saying I asked for a refund when I got to the comedy club after I found out a woman was opening because I can think of 4 female comedians off the top of my head that aren't funny. I had a male shopper. I ordered multigrain gluten free bread. He substituted with WHEAT multigrain bread. NOT the same thing. And they do pick the crappiest veggies AND meat. I wouldn't necessarily cancel an order, but I do wish that there was a little more attention to detail when choosing perishables especially. Also, I've been told there wasn't something, gone in physically and bought it, right then and there-I had a friend that had just bought one of the items and had told me about it being in stock. Just things like that.

Their low wage isn't our fault, we're not the ones supposed to be paying that. But with tips my shoppers are getting $20/hr just from my tips. So if they do a bad job, they're actually robbing me. I'm a nurse and I don't make much more than that myself. I use Instacart when I'm coming off my shift days, trying not to spread Covid. I just can't with any of this s**t. There are reasons certain people do certain things well and it's a lot more nurture (including larger sociological circles) than nature. But look at the way people will "freak out" about men potentially being bad at something and then the other way around. The discourse is so different. Sexism as judging based on perceived biological sex any way you cut it is bs, but men still have the bulk of privilege (come for me if you want, but I don't have time and my 2.5 degrees in these issues can quiet your a*s like NyQuil). This DOESN'T mean saying "all _____ are bad at _____" is ever a good thing, and it messes with everyone's heads. Also, your exceptions of "well my dad/husband/whatever is actually good at that soooo" doesn't mean there MIGHT not be some kind of correlation in the general trend. Great for them, glad they have that skill and experience, but exceptionalism in arguments like this is damaging. (Opens arms wide for the volley of downvotes)

So far with men shoppers I've dealt with: 1. Gave me cabbage when I ordered lettuce 2. Replaced my regular dairy free milk with full dairy chocolate milk 3. You realize how terrible you sound? Men are Useless. This is why people call feminists, feminazis. But there is a difference between the two You fall in the latter. Feminists fight for women's rights you just want to rule over all men and have them be your bootlickers to which you can insult them because many people are not born to shop. If you had just mentioned your experience, I would have felt sorry for you, but you had to make it a generalized statement insulting an entire sex.

I am happy to hear about the comments that report good experiences with men who shop. These are indeed rare exceptions to the general rule.

After nearly 7 years, he texts a lot less often, usually just to let me know they're out and ask if I want something else. The male shoppers and delivery guys always ruin half my order. Especially any bread item. Plus they always try to Heman every bag at once resulting in squished, busted, and bruised food.

Same lady will scream that men get all the high paying executive roles and that women deserve the equivalent. She is sexist and that type of rant is disgusting. She is the problem and anyone agreeing that "all men" suck at shopping should be judging themselves with a failing grade

So true in my experience! Last night Instacart shopper replaced my foundation makeup (the lightest shade) with a significantly darker shade meant for a person of colour. Then texted me "its the same thing " 🤦‍♀️ Had other similar experiences in the past too.

I've had 2 shoppers that were awesome. Sent pictures, waited for me to verify, everything. One was a man, one was a woman. This post is sexist as hell. If you want to fight sexism don't be a sexist. How hard is that?

Not only is she a sexist idiot but anyone who agrees with her is also a sexist idiot. How can you make such a blanket statement and take food off of somebody's table because they have a penis?! That's like saying I asked for a refund when I got to the comedy club after I found out a woman was opening because I can think of 4 female comedians off the top of my head that aren't funny. You do realize that there are considerably more male chefs than female chefs right?

I found that both the men and women shoppers were equally good with communicating about substitutions. The women, however, were more likely to tex me about a cheaper or on sale option. I really appreciated this, given how expensive groceries have become.

If you're so lazy that you can't do your own grocery shopping, you shouldn't complain that you don't get exactly what you want. Not only do I not trust any of these shoppers to choose good produce and meats, I hate having them block the aisles with their giant carts. And, before you hit that down arrow, just be advised that I don't care. Out!

I ordered naan bread, they were out, if he had contacted me I would have told him to get the flatbread made by the same company or maybe the pizza crust. What did he chose? Pita bread. ROCK HARD POCKET PITA BREAD! Another one subbed sweet potato wedges with poblano for cheesy mashed potatoes. Men love to eat, but they sure don't know what goes into food do they?

Their low wage isn't our fault, we're not the ones supposed to be paying that. But with tips my shoppers are getting $20/hr just from my tips. So if they do a bad job, they're actually robbing me. I'm a nurse and I don't make much more than that myself. I use Instacart when I'm coming off my shift days, trying not to spread Covid. So mind your own business. You don't know who or why we use these services. If it was that bad, they'd quit and go wait tables or something. It's a service, get over it. Do you not go to restaurants because waiters get low wages? Hypocrite.

What a sexist cow! I have more problems with people of either sex who ARE UNDER 30 than with men. So far with men shoppers I've dealt with: 1. Gave me cabbage when I ordered lettuce 2. Replaced my regular dairy free milk with full dairy chocolate milk 3. Charged me for tomatoes & cream cheese that never showed up 4. Replaced a 2lb roast with a SIX POUND ROAST 5. Couldn't find the toothpaste I wanted so replaced it with bubblegum children's toothpaste 6. Asked for 3 bell peppers, gave me 3 PACKS of bell peppers (12 total peppers) Recommended ridiculous replacements- Ordered Tupperware, replaced with foil Ordered dish soap, replaced with body wish Ordered white rice, replaced with easy Mac Men are useless at basic knowledge
