I’m Martin Nittala 17-year-old Self Taught Photographer from India.
I started Photography with a 5mp Phone Camera in 2013.My parents wanted me to become a doctor when I was kid,but I wanted to do something great apart from studies and then I decided to become a Professional Photographer.I’m not so comfortable with this world’s rules, after completing my 10th grade with low marks (I mean the worst, after all, I was a backbencher in my schooling) my parents joined me in a college to complete BiPC (Indian course to become a doctor).I’m not happy with my parents decision of joining me in a college and I don’t like anyone to judge me especially the professors in the college. I worked so hard to get my work Published in International and National Magazines. On one fine afternoon I received a mail from Times of India saying that work is going to be published in their News Paper I felt so happy and I had Tears of Joy falling down from my eyes.My parents felt so happy and gradually I dropped out of college myself in 2015 the same year which my parents had joined me in the college haha.In the same year on my Birthday (November 12)my parents gifted me my Dream Photography Gear and it is so hard for a middle-class family like us to afford the price.I started hanging out more with my new camera and now I’m looking to Join in a University to complete a degree in Photography.
BTW if someone asks me if the gear matters? I say, Yes if you want to take Best Possible Photos the Gear matters for sure.I’m not telling you can’t take the best photos with low price gear but the quality speaks itself.
I remember me taking pictures with a 5mp Phone in 2013 and now I feel so blessed as a 17-year-old to be using the professional Photography Gear
Thanks for taking your valuable time to read my story, hope you are having a good day.
