“Their Greed Knows No Limit”: 50 Times Insanely Rich People Got Shamed On This Online Community
The billionaire population not only surged during the pandemic with the record total of super rich reaching an unprecedented 2,755, their fortunes also boomed. The numbers reached highs that were previously deemed impossible to achieve in a single lifetime.
Think of Tesla’s Elon Musk, who grew his fortune from $25bn to more than $150bn. Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos is the world’s richest person for the 4th year running, worth $177 billion, up $64 billion from a year ago as a result of surging Amazon shares. Today, according to this recent report, billionaires are wealthier than half the planet.
No wonder that so many people see the whole situation as disturbing and unfair, hence this Reddit community that observes, analyzes and discusses the insanely super rich. Welcome to “Greed Incorporated,” the relatively new subreddit created in 2021 that gathered people who just can’t sit and stay silent about greed with no limits. Below we wrapped up some of the most eye-opening and disturbing posts shared here.

The anti-poverty charity Oxfam reported that the world's 10 richest men had their wealth doubled, from $700 billion to $1.5 trillion, during the pandemic, a mindblowing rate equal to $15,000 per second. Nine of the planet’s 10 richest people are Americans.
According to Irit Tamir, the director of Oxfam's private sector development, the wealth gap is nothing new, but its new record heights are nothing economists have seen or imagined before. "The gap between the rich and the poor was increasing even before the pandemic started. But the pandemic supercharged this in a whole host of ways."

Tamir argues that in terms of the wealth gap, "We are in an even more outrageous situation than we were last year or the year before." He added in an interview for CBS News that "Wealth is begetting wealth, and it becomes exponential.” The director of Oxfam’s private sector development said that he fears by next year, those numbers will only continue to increase and that gap will only widen. Moreover, in Oxfam's view, rising inequality poses risks to billions of people across the world, who aren't sharing in the same gains in wealth and may be cut off from equal access to health care, vaccines and economic opportunity.
Then He Pays The Immigrant Half A Cookie To Work For Him Since The Worker Would Cost 2. Damn Inflation!
Again. Trump. The number one employee of immigrants in our country.
We’re Taught To Admire The Rich & Laziness Is The Only Thing Keeping Me From Being Rich. Just A Few More 60 Hr Work Weeks...
Right that's it....I'm lazy. We work long hours for mediocre pay so the rich could become richer by exploiting the workers but nah...we're just lazy.

If this is true, kudos to him for not being a billionaire d**k and actually being a good guy.
Meanwhile, Abigail Disney, a spokeswoman for higher taxes on the rich and better wages for workers, believes that inequality is widening after years of weakened support for unions and changes in regulations that were meant to protect ordinary Americans. Lawmakers have cut taxes on the richest earners since the 1980s with the idea they would use the extra income to create jobs and economic opportunity, yet research has found that hasn't happened—and the tax cuts only helped the rich.
Disney wrote in the report: "Society was riddled with cracks when we started this pandemic—cracks which have widened into fault lines. There is more than enough money to solve most of the world's problems. It's just being held in the hands of millionaires and billionaires who aren't paying their fair share."

Is It Immoral To Steal From A Villain Of Society?
Thats Hilarious
That Is Hands Down The Most Accurate Thing I Have Read In A While
Why not both ? You can't struggle to improve society if you are already struggling to survive. That's the 2 legs of the unions: one to improve every day live, the other to improve society.

Babylonian law: Interest rate is fixed for all terms. Don't expect repayment too soon. Jewish law: Stoning people is OK but Don't lend money at interest. Islamic Law: Mutilation as punishment is OK but don't lend at interest. Romans: Crucifixion is fine, 8% interest not so much. Medieval Europe : no borrowing from Christians. Are we getting a theme...

I don't know the story behind this, but I bet she didn't get a good answer. People that talk sense rarely do.
Greed At Its Most Evil
Oh They Know
This is it exactly. They know people are struggling to survive so why pay a decent salary when you can exploit their situation and make even more money. We see it here with a lot of migrants.
The Big Corporation Is Our Problem
While this is so very wrong, the FC5 potato was registered/patented by Pepsi for exclusive use. The law suit was dropped and Pepsi lost it's sole right to use the Indian seed. They should have offer to buy the the crop from the farmers!!
Nothing Changed In 80+ Years
It's a wonderful, wonderful book. I read it in high school first and re-read it a few years back. If you haven't read it, I strongly suggest you do so. That book, and the photography of Dorothea Lange, perfectly encapsulate the American Great Depression.

He's one of the hosts on the 5-4 podcast about how awful the Supreme Court has always been. All three hosts manage to be incredibly funny while diving into the court cases that keep wealth and power in the hands of the rich, keep marginalized groups marginalized, and the just generally crass and evil decisions they've handed down. Highly recommend it

I’m convinced most people don’t know what socialism means. Socialism ain’t Communism. A Capitalist society filled with some socialist policies is always amazing. The only time socialism is bad is when it devolves into Communism. Communism has never worked, but Capitalist societies with plenty of socialist policies rule.
Just 1% Of The Military Budget Is A S**t Ton Of Money. But Lets Increase It Just Incase

But The Shareholding Investors Want That $20 Billion.. What Are We Suppose To Tell Them?
So how do we evolve from ranting on social media to actively seeking to replace the rich old white men that run this show?
Remember the good old days? When only one parent worked and they could afford a mortgage and 2 cars? What was different then? Unions. Unions were big in those days. Unions force the suits to share the wealth. After all, just who is doing all the labor to make those companies so successful? Don't believe the anti-union propaganda that those companies throw around. Spending probably millions to convince their laborers that unions are bad. Don't believe them.
