Every year thousands of artists get involved in Inktober, where for 31 days of October, you ink a drawing for each day. I decided to go off the usual prompt and focus on mental illnesses and disorders. While understanding that every disorder has many symptoms with degrees of severity I tried to capture one or two in a single image.
I've released prints and a book collection to continue supporting mental health with a large portion of the proceeds being donated to a northeastern Ohio mental health facility in need.
This month has been a wild one and can't thank enough the thousands of people who've reached out to me to tell me their story and share my work. It has been overwhelming to say the least. This is the rest of my Inktober, and you can see the first part here.
(Note: Though ASD isn't technically a mental disorder, it is included in the DSM-5 and felt it important to include.)

Are the mental illness and disorders illustrations available for sell as prints? Thanks you
I have a condition called expressive language disorder. It means I struggle with expressing thoughts and feelings. Your drawings make it so much easier to tell people how I feel and what I'm going through.
The drawings are great! I'm doing a project in my English 3 class surrounding mental illness and how it can be underrated, I was wondering if it would be okay if I used some of your drawings for my project. I would give you full credit, of course. Thanks :)
My first passion is Literacy; my other passion is art. Never before have I seen artwork that I could almost READ! Such depth of thought, understanding and emotion come through your pen. Amazing talent. Thank you. :) If only we were given boxes to tick before being born; I would definitely have ticked the 'Artistic' box. I have always envied those with this ability. Haha, never happy as humans are we!
Hello. i tink youre pictures are so beatiful that i wonder if i can order a copy on one of dwraings? /emma karlsson
You've helped me understand myself in so many ways. Thank you, it's amazing to see how you feel in art form
It is clear that you have a good deal of artistic talent, so please understand that I find no fault with you there. But as someone who has several of the conditions featured in this series, as someone with friends who have conditions featured in this series, as someone with family members who have conditions featured in this series, as someone who cares about people with conditions featured in this series, I must tell you that the world did not need these pictures. The demonization of mental illness and the mentally ill has occurred throughout history and continues to this day and your artwork featured here only serves to further perpetuate harmful ideas and messages. We are people. Not monsters. Not poor victims of our own 'evil' minds. Please, do better. Do better.
