Welcome back to "The Daily Dunc" comics where Dylan, the talented creator, gives life to everyday objects, making us laugh with his funny one-panel stories.

In our previous chat with the artist, Dylan shared his mission: to bring a smile to faces and offer a brief escape from life's challenges. "Even if it’s a really bad pun or dad joke, I hope that along with any eye roll comes a smirk or a giggle. That’s all I can hope for."

Dylan shared with Bored Panda that as a kid, he was a massive Disney enthusiast, often hitting pause on the VCR during animated movies to copy characters like Aladdin or Simba straight from the TV screen. He was also a loyal follower of Garfield and Calvin & Hobbes comics, often trying to replicate their styles when he was cartooning.

Nowadays, the artist recognizes a significant Calvin & Hobbes influence in his comics, and some people have even pointed out a resemblance in style. Another major influence for him was Natalie Dee, whom he discovered in his early 20s. Natalie Dee's humor inspired him to kickstart his own daily comic. "She cracked me up!"

Dylan has a knack for turning negative experiences into more positive and beautiful moments, not just for himself but also for others. Whether he's doing it on purpose or without thinking much, making art like creating comics or playing guitar and writing songs helps him express his worries, fears, and past tough times. According to the artist, sharing this creative side feels really satisfying, especially when people tell him that his art means a lot to them or makes them feel better. "I can’t ask for anything more rewarding than that."

"There are a lot of crazy things going on in this world right now and it can be easy to feel discouraged and down. If I can help even just a little bit to put smiles on people’s faces all over the world, I’m damn sure going to do it."

Understandable. It's a one-sided relationship, and that leads to resentment by the one doing all the giving.
