Beware, for your Instagram account is at risk! Right this moment, there might be a person scrolling through your photos, trying to find a target to exercise their nimble fingers. But we're not talking about scammers, hackers, or heck, even haters. Actually, the "threat" we're talking about is nothing but harmless fun. You see, Lucas Levitan loves to draw cartoons, and he gets all of his inspiration from Instagram photos: what he likes to do is to borrow them in order to transform them into something creative, unexpected, and fun, ultimately transforming a casual photo snapped by (usually) amateur photographers and turning them into works of art, entertaining thousands of his viewers. Who knows, maybe the original photos even get more recognition due to Lucas' work, so it may not be a bad thing after all if one day you learn that your Instagram was raided by the instafamous cartoonist.

Looking at the general picture, it's hard to pinpoint the theme and the type of the photos that the artist likes to "invade" the most. Among the pictures there's beautiful vistas, interiors, landscapes, casual photos of people, and what appear to be stock images. It shows that the material on which he draws in itself is not as important as the creativity and fresh perspective that he brings. At some points, it's hard to even tell if the photos enhance his cartoons, or vice versa.
Could you guess where Lucas draws his inspiration from? Hint: it's in the pictures. If you haven't figured it out, it's very simple: the artist loves to draw inspiration from everyday life. By removing and altering the context of the images, the artist changes the way these images are perceived and it connects better with the audience, which may find them more amusing and interesting.
Our readers love Lucas' works. So much so, that it's the fifth issue of his amusing drawings. If you missed them and/or if you want to see them, you may find them here, here, here, and here.

This is exactly how I feel when I'm in cities. I say it all the time. So much so my hubby and daughter roll their eye at me when I say I "feel like I'm in a can of sardines".
