This Unusual Café In Seoul Will Make You Feel Like You Walked Into A Cartoon
It’s never dull scrolling through a vibrant Instagram food scene, and it seems like every café these days is trying to satisfy the hunger for unique design. Of all the insta-worthy bar designs, we raise you a restaurant that will make you feel like you walked into a cartoon drawing.
From the moment you cross the café’s doorstep, you are greeted by comic strips plastered all over the interior, from walls and floors to the furniture and dishes, so you can’t help but feel as if you magically found a secret entrance to the unreal comic world. And it all makes sense, as Café got its inspiration from Korean TV hit “W – Two Worlds” by Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-Joo, in which the characters enter a fantasy webtoon world.
Sadly, if you don’t live in South Korea, specifically in Seoul, you will have to put a bit more effort to experience the illusion of this excellent interior design. This small, but cozy café, opened in July 2017 and located in a famous Yeonnam-dong district is called Cafe Yeonnam-dong 239-20 which is actually cafe’s address.
If you are a fan of restaurant design, comics or Instagram-worthy places, make sure to put this café in your itinerary next time you visit Seoul!

I would have loved it more if some dummy stick people sitting and having snacks on one of tables!
Perfect dress for the occasion! Though she needs to put white socks!
For pure fun, I would try to pay them in Black and white Xerox currency notes!
Bricks/tiles on wall are pretty cool. Haven't seen anything like them in the US.
That croissant made my hungry, my fat a*s cant unsee this now.
Not trying to be rude or anything but I seriously thought she was on the toilet at first glance...
Looks like she's thinking "I wonder if I should share my food with that cute doggie."
notice they ran out of the gold coined chocolates after that first & only pic. including them.
SOOOO well done! While serving in So Korea, I found the people there, in general, to be sooo creative.
Found it on Naver Maps! It's a 55 minuets car ride from home! That is... Unless you don't get stuck in traffic. 2.5 hours with the bicycle. Hmmmmh..... Sounds like an idea! Might go visit. ♥ (I bet it's expensive, though, but still would be cool) Also. ♬♪ Taaaaaaaaake ooooooooon meeeeeee (take-on-meeeee....)♬♪
So unbelievably cool!! I'd love to go there!! I love the "wood" floor! I have a concrete patio...maybe?
So lovely, there's an amazing amount of detail! <3 But it must be very disconcerting when you walk out of there at the end of your shift :P
This is really cool. I want to see it in person. I bet it is hard to keep clean, especially when it rains. Some muddy foot prints would throw off the je ne sais quoi of the place.
Now this is absolutely ingenious, love the style. And if they have a good coffee I would not probably leave the café at all. I would even buy some striped black-white dress just to fit in :)
It really messes with reality doesn't, it's really cool i would eat there quite often probably
I'm curious to see the look of the waitress and the exterior of the resto
It's pretty cool to look at but I think it would be a little disorienting for me.
Creative and very special. So much better than the cafes that were designed using elements from bathrooms; seating and bowls made like toilets, bowls like tiny sinks or bathtubs.
Looks like Katharine Morling's work to me... http://katharinemorling.co.uk/
Man that is cool. It really makes their coffee's and treats pop as well
This is so cool! Awesome - I'd like to have my room painted like this one :D
I feel like Paddington Bear should be there. (Anyone in UK in the 70's & 80's will know my meaning).
So now we have a new idea for IKEA hacks. So much of their furniture comes in stark white...
Why the hell is everyone talking about killing animals for the leather as being a worse thing than producing plastic, which would be, for those aresholes the basic replacement raw material to use instead of animal skin. Kill one animal get 1000 or so wallets or phone cases. Make them out of plastic though, and you kill literally thousands of animals and people with waste and pollution.
