IKEA Just Launched A Pet Furniture Collection, And Animal Lovers Want It All
IKEA is well known for stocking everything you could possibly need to make a house a home (plus plenty of things that you don’t need, yet somehow still end up buying). One thing they’ve always lacked however is a collection of furniture specifically designed for pets, but IKEA aims to change all of that with its new range called Lurvig. What’s a lurvig? It’s the Swedish word for “hairy” (obviously) and the range includes everything from dog beds and couch covers to cat tunnels and scratching posts. The collection is currently being rolled out in stores across the US, Canada, France and Japan, with other stores scheduled to stock the paw-sitively paw-some range from March 2018.

Hey Mikleo! Cats love cardboard boxes! I'm an architect from Brazil and I love cats, so I decided to join to passions and creat Gatocas (Cardboard cat houses). Have a look at Instagram and Facebook: @gatocas.br ... The customers cat are so cute!

Load More Replies...the only bad thing about this is the fact that many of the animals would rather sleep on the floor or on the couch you already own
When i saw the cat beds that were shelves I instantly thought thought they would knock everything you put on there off
Ok, but you'll have to put it together, and it'll take you 2 hours!
Load More Replies...Please, don't buy from IKEA, here in The Netherlands, Haarlem, are 2 domestic dumped pet rabbits on their property. Head of security only allowed me and animal rescue 1 whole hour to try to catch the rabbit in a huge area, the rabbit was not there. IKEA does not care about animal well being, they only care about money. They don't want to help me catch these bunnies and give them a good home. 22154618_1...70c27b.jpg
I love ikea, but they got it wrong . I need a box designed for me, the pets usually own everything else
Do NOT support #IKEA There’s a Domestic Bunny at one of the ikeas and they will not help rescue him/her. #ikeabunny needs to be rescued!
I could buy everything that they have and my dog and two cats would prefer a wadded up blanket and a box. Gotta love 'em.
The animals are going to continue to sleep on "people furniture" anyway. How about spending your money on helping the homeless find accommodation. Animals have no way of appreciating this outlay of cash.
The dog bed has sharp edges and corners which could hurt small animals or people's feet/legs, if they bump into it!
The dog bed pictured has very sharp corners on it!!!! Could hurt animal, or person's leg/foot, if bumped into!!!
Acctually, "Lurvig" means "Shaggy", not "Hairy" (Hairy would be Hårig)
My cats have already more furniture than I have. More than Ikea, but I like it.
I would love this...except our dachshund would rather have a Poang all to himself!
They're going to make a fortune when they open in Taiwan, where some people push dogs around in carriages--- come on! Dogs run, and swim, too! (Taiwan is where someone was lauded as a hero because he "rescued" a golden retriever taking a swim.) When I see people like that, I always want to ask, Do you treat your parents this well?
I'd go, if they had real cats and dogs modelling the furniture - or if they let me bring mine to test it out for size/fit and comfort ;-)
