I Was Afraid To Show The Golden Horse But It Was The Best Decision In My Career
My name is Diana Wahl and I am working for a long time as a professionell horse photographer in germany. I liked my pictures but they were quite normal and nothing special to me. Then I saw pictures of people wearing glitter and gold in their face and I thought “Oh, I can also do this with horses” .
So I startet with the “Golden Horse”, when I sticked gold leaf on the horse of a friend.
That was the first try and I was afraid to show anybody the result.
Then I postet the picture on Facebook and the feedback was amazing.
After that I created more than 30 different styled shoots with horses in my mobile studio. I used gold, silver and copper but also glitter, paillettes, feathers and leaves.
The pictures were made in my mobile studio with flash light and I traveled through the country to shoot the most beautiful and special colors of horses.
The series shows the horses in the way I see them :
elegant and with a heart of gold

These are beautiful but you need to be careful with the glitter near the horses' eyes. Glitter is not eye safe and can scratch their corneas. Try keeping it further away, never above the eyes, and throw it closer to the camera in shots like "lost in glitter".

my personal favorite is the one with the butterflies :)) super leistung!!
