Imagine the scene. You are going about your daily business when there's a buzz on your phone. “Ah, It's my sweetheart,” you notice, with a frisson of romantic excitement. “I wonder what she wants.” You reach for the phone, the possibilities whizzing through your mind. Could it be a seductive photo, along with the offer of a hot weekend away somewhere? Or maybe she wants to compliment you on that awesome sandwich you made her for lunch? Do we need milk?
“I WANT A BABY,” is all the message says; no context, no further explanation. Holy crap! Where the hell did that come from! Then the panic starts to set in. How to respond to this bombshell? With brutal honesty, or cautious logic? Perhaps some light humor? Or simply delete, block and move to another state?
This viral Twitter prank, started by @kelllicopter, cheekily puts this scenario to the test. "My roommate and I were a little tipsy and we were talking about babies," Kelly explained to Bored Panda. "My roommate said 'I’m gonna text my boyfriend and tell him that I want a baby,' and I thought it was funny. So I told my boyfriend @joeygllghr that I wanted one too, just to see his response."
"I just wanted to see what boys would say in that situation because sometimes they get a bit squeamish about that kind of stuff. There were a lot of 'maybe one day' kind of answers but there were also a lot of funny and unique ones too! I even saw one that was someone asking to play cup pong, just to avoid the question."

I spent my childhood in 1990's when unemployment was really common here in Finland. I was one of those lucky people who had both parents with a job but I knew many children that had to grow in a really poor family and every day was a struggle. So I decided then that if I am unemployed I will never have a child. Now I am 33 years old and I have never had a permanent job so I am sure that I will never get a child. But there are plenty of peoplein my country who never had a permanent job but they still had a baby - and they are constantly complaining how life is really difficult.

Not that I really care about baseball, but if your going to bring a fan into the house... make it a Brewer's fan... they bring the beer. I've seen them showing up for a tailgate.... a half-full coach bus, they fill like 2/3's the undercarraige storage with beer. the rest is for burgers/brauts/buns/other-food-stuff- and a couple grills.

You can call me stiff or humorless but for me it does not look like a funny joke. Ok, some of these boys and men actually found it funny. Good for them. Still, I can't help but think about all these scared or angry. Or those who were happy and ready to do it, because they always dreamed about a big family - what would you say after this? "Sorry, I was just kidding?" That is just awkward. And cruel. I don't think "having a baby" is something that you can acquire "just because" in a spure of moment. This is very important decision which should be preceded by a discussion. That is just dirty playing with other person's feelings.
