From as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved animals.
I was born in the suburbs of Paris and grew up surrounded by concrete, buildings, and cars. However, I always had this yearning for nature. I would look for green, for plants, for little critters, wherever I went. Seeing a wild animal was so incredible to me and it would make my day when I would spot a wild fox furtively crossing the streets at night, or a hedgehog hiding in the bushes in the yard.
As an adult, it only made sense that animals would become my main source of inspiration in my art.
My two preferred art mediums are acrylic and digital. I create a lot of animal portraits using digital techniques. Each digital painting takes me an entire day to complete, and sometimes even more. I love working on the computer, splattering colors around, erasing, trying again, looking for just the right pattern of abstraction, and changing the colors as I go. It’s a never ending experimentation. I work with colors without being too realistic.
