I Upcycle Used Bike Inner Tubes To Make Unisex Fetish Bow Ties!

I am Kristy Kokkinou from Greece and I make handmade fetish unisex bow ties out of used inner tubes.

Inner tubes is a water resistant and very durable material. They constist a harmful waste for the environment since are not biodegradable. After long personal research and experimentation I found out that the best and most creative way to reuse inner tubes in order to protect the environment is upcycling. At the same time, inner tubes simulate leather fabric but without any animal having to be killed or harmed.

Amazing vegan handicraft medium, don’t you think?

The sense of leather, the rubber material and the prevail black color in combination with metallic fasteners, chains and elastic straps gave me the idea to create something fetishist but with an ecological orientation. And what best than making sexy inner tube bow ties?

My bow ties are unisex and can be used as a fetish piece with no imagination limits but as a fashion outfit accessory as well.

They are all cut and sewn by hand and are totally environmental friendly. The inner tubes are very carefully cleaned and sterilized. They have been washed several times in order to be clean with no rubber smells.

It is a difficult and long lasting procedure until the final piece but it is worthwhile and makes me so happy at the same time!
