I Traveled With 77 People For 1 Year, Went To 32 Countries, 4 Continents And Was The Oldest Male To Ever Complete This Trip

I am a 56 year old Travel Photographer from New York who just finished traveling around the world with 77 people for one complete year, 2017. It was all done traveling with a company called Remote Year. You need to be chosen after you apply and then pay to travel to 12 cities in 12 months. The company provides you with housing in each city, transportation to each city and a work space with internet you can work from 24/7. You have your own job before you start the year of travel, it is your responsibility to work (or not), the year is up to you how you want to live it but most people have remote jobs, that is why and how they are able to accomplish this.

We started in Mexico City then on to Bogota, Medellin, Lima, Cordoba and Buenos Aires in Argentina. We then went to Europe to Prague, Belgrade and Valencia and on to Asia with Kuala Lumpur, Chiang Mai and finishing in Kyoto. Most of my other travelers had jobs that somewhat held them back from traveling as much as I did. I used each city as a base then traveled each month to a number of other countries. As a group we only signed up to hit 10 countries but I traveled all in all to 32 countries in 2017.

The age group was from 24-55, I was the 55. When I finished in Japan I was the oldest Male to ever complete Remote Year, there was a woman from another group who was 57 when she finished, she was the oldest of all (so far). My job is a travel photographer so I would say I must have taken over 30,000 photos this year, this is only a guesstimate.

So here is a list of some of my highlights from my year along with some photos…
