My name is Davide Sasso and I love photography. Japan is a country that I love and I hope one day to be able to go there.
I love japanese anime and I tried to replicate their look in my photos.
My biggest inspiration for this project was definitely Makoto Shinkai, his films are real masterpieces that I recommend you to see. When I saw ‘Your Name’, his latest film, I was literally in love with it. The colors, the composition and the mood was something that fascinated me. That film is certainly one of the reasons that gave life to this project.
I took pictures in various parts of Italy, such as Florence, Milan and Calabria.
For now, I have limited myself to shoot in Italy, but certainly in the future I will do something similar in other countries, and who knows, maybe one day in Japan.
