I Spend Three Years Crafting A Tale About A Viking In Newly Discovered America
Hello everyone! I’m Lukasz, a self-taught artist from Poland.
Three years ago, just for the fun of it, I started creating a short comic story set in the time of viking discovery and exploration of North America. It was supposed to be a story that I hadn’t read before – something that combined my two biggest boyish interests: vikings and indians (how cool is that?)
Then, as I delved deeper into the research, the story and the universe I created started to grow. It’s been nothing but fun to fill my version of mythical ‘Vinland’ with characters and themes taken from norse and native legends. But it’s not all fantasy – I’ve had great plasure in smuggling tidbits of actual archeological findings into the plot.
Long story short, my short story got long! I finished it, I’ve put it all together into a book, a graphic novel called ‘The Owl Tribe’. It’s currently looking for fans (might be you) and being crowdfunded on Kickstarter. You can check it out via the link below.
Here you can find some artworks that I did. I hope you’ll like them! Thanks!
