I Search For Abandoned Hospitals All Around Poland And Photograph Them

I have started being interested in abondoned places few year ago. That time I didn’t know how dangerous and sudactive it could be. You just leave one place and already starting to think where would you like to go next time. Lot of people ask me – what is do great about destroyed and abandoned buildings? I simply can’t explain it – you just love it or don’t understand it.

My fovourite abandoned places are hospitals.

People like me make that abondoned places become unforgettable and alive. Photos with even the most devastated places make tribute to refreshing the memory of the past that has already passed.

Overcoming severe disadvantage such as crumbling ceilings, low ceiling entrances, lack of access to the interior, fragments of falling walls, the photographer tries to show the world the beauty of abandoned places that still have the power to speak and the power to appear in the Internet or in social media profiles. A photographer in abandoned places don’t plunder and don’t rob. The lens wraps time, showing the souls of abandoned but still existing objects. Like a ghost trying to penetrate the heart of their history just to show the world a passing and so common nowdays forgetfulness.

Exploring forgotten and abandoned places, every time I feel the same excitement accompanied by fear. Hospitals, even those working, have a specific atmosphere with the smell of medicines, inhaling the breath of suffering people, interwoven with the laugh of children in pain and the tears of happiness of young mothers and fathers. The walls of each hospital overwhelm the emotions released by staff and patients over the years. This enormity of emotions has forever stamped on them, which, even after leaving hospitals, tries to tell the story of the people who were present in these objects.

Abandoned and devastated walls of buildings, the nature absorbs floors and ceilings, scattered medical equipment, baby scales, operating rooms, vials of medication, test tubes, stethoscopes, baby beds, staff clothing, breathing equipment are just some elements of abandoned hospitals which can be photographed during visiting abandoned hospitals. These elements, combined with the calmness and melancholy of these places, are an incredible mixture of mystery and curiosity. Pictures of abandoned places always raise question – how many people died near these objects and in the walls of these rooms. How many people have suffered in them. There is no doubt, abandoned places are incredible source of reflection for anyone who has the opportunity to look at them with respect to as well as for those who can admire them in so mysterious and nostalgic pictures.

Today I want to show you pictures of abandoned and visited by me hospitals.
