With so much happening in the way of wearable technology and advancements in common household tech, like the once humble TV, I often find myself wondering what people in the future will think when they look back at the adverts for our common devices and appliances.
As a history student, I find vintage adverts extremely interesting and amusing. They say so much about the society that they were targeted too. So I often wonder – what will people think when they look at our adverts? Will they think the same things that I do about adverts from the 50’s and 60’s?
With this in mind I set about re-imagining vintage adverts for one of my IT Security clients, LSA Systems. I looked at ‘features’ of devices such as tablets and TV’s that most adverts today promote and imaged how ridiculous they would sound to those from the future with smart technology driving their cars and running their homes.
