I Photographed Argentina’s March Against Government Decisions In 2020

Protesters, on foot and in vehicles, in the centre of the Argentine capital march to express their discontent with the government.

In March 15 the government announced one of the world’s strictest lockdowns.

Today, more than 7 months have past and we have to face the consequences more than ever.

Polititians only have money to reform the justice system (and save their asses) and put new restrictions on the purchase of US dollars.

The government has committed significant errors in its calculus. They destroyed the economy and the lives of inocents due to the lack of investment in hospitals.

We now face more than than 1,14 Million cases and 30.442 deaths.

“We are demanding that the powers be independent, that the judges do their job. Argentina is a rich country, it has everything and we are getting poorer,” said Estefania Tiargo, a protester.

I’m Camila De Pasquale, and took my camera with me to march with the people for our rights and capture our desperation in the new Argenzuela.

My name is Violeta and I am an editor here at Bored Panda. I love reading memes for a living. It’s obviously much more than that, but I appreciate the variety of topics, information, and pics I get to see every day and share with the world! Those funny memes really make my day too. Being born in the ’90s in post-Soviet Lithuania speaks more about me than I’d like to admit. I’m still learning about the world and myself, but I do love my friends, traveling, art, and my cat. My favorite fact to share about myself is that I used to hide meatballs in my friend’s pockets at lunch so I could go play outside. I wish all those meatballs could find their way back to me someday.
