I Photographed Almost 30 Dogs In 3 Days To Raise Money For Animals In Need
I organized a photography event this past March to photograph as many dogs as I could over the course of three days. The dog parents donated their session fee to The Murphy Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Kim Takacs and Aquadale Veterinary Clinic in North Lawrence, Ohio.
The foundation raises money solely through the generosity of their donors and helps boost donations with fun events every couple of years. I recently created a gorgeous dog photography book for the foundation and decided to take it one step further for this year's event.
I scheduled as many dog photo shoots as I possibly could into just three days, and ended up photographing just shy of thirty. From a tiny, elderly Chihuahua who can totally rock a lion hat, to a humongous St. Bernard that barely fit on the background - I photographed them all!
With dogs coming and going about every 30 minutes, things got pretty intense, but we had a good system in place and everything went very smoothly.
We were able to successfully raise over $2000 for animals in need. That money will go towards spaying and neutering feral cats, and helping sick animals who would otherwise go without veterinary care.

All so beautiful. I wish I could manage more dogs than two! Both rescues.
I sure do! Cats usually don't travel so well, so I typically photograph them at their home. :)
