I have traveled to 94 countries and always try and find beautiful interior spaces to photograph. Libraries and Churches are usually my go to places when I hit a city. Over the past few years I have fallen in love with shooting theaters.
It is very hard to get access for permission to go inside of theaters, most of these were shot when I did a private paid tour or when I emailed months earlier to request access before they open for a performance.
There are 8 photos of theaters here but I have photographed more libraries, probably about 25 and as far as churches go, I have probably shot over 400. This just shows you how difficult it is to get into a theater and also shows that there are much less theaters around the world with the kind of beautiful architecture worth photographing than churches or libraries.
PS-All the photos are from the perspective of the performer, seeing what they see during a performance.
