Crafted from individual pieces of natural stone, left over from masonry projects such as patio construction and dry stone wall building. I call these dry stone spheres Lithadelic Sculpture.

My first sphere…or sphereoid, completed Junuary 2013.
Eco. These cairn-like sculptures are built from natural stone, usually fit together without any mortar or glue.
Some, like this sphere at a public park, will have some glue and/or mortar, protecting from vandalism or mishap.
Others are fully dry stone. Nothing but stone all the way through, held together by gravity.
I shape each stone by hand…
…and carefully fit them into place
And always climb them, immediately after finishing.
Thanks for looking!
