Around a year ago, I made a painting about a black kitty, who is sitting in front of a decorated window frame, looking up to the Moon, where two fishes are swimming around. That time I gave the title to this painting Full Moon, but soon I renamed it to Pisces Cat Zodiac because that painting gave me the idea to create a new Cat Art Calendar in the style of my colorful Cats of Karavella Collection!

This became one of my art projects to 2018, to complete the 12 Cat Zodiacs. I painted each month a different astrological sign, such as the Capricorn Cat, Aquarius Kitty, Pisces Kitty, Aries Kitty, Taurus Cat, Gemini Cats, Cancer Cat, Leo Cat, Virgo Cat, Libra Kittens, Scorpio Cat, and the Sagittarius Cat.

To maintain the connection between the paintings, I kept the original layout of the first Pisces Sign, so all paintings include the Moon, Stars, a highly decorated window frame, and a carpet where my kitties are. All paintings are handmade mixed media works, on watercolor paper made mainly with Ecoline Brilliant Watercolor ink, permanent markers and metal gouache, which gives a sparkling effect, a bright shine to the original artworks.

In twelve months I completed all and created my new Cat Zodiacs Calendar, meanwhile I sold some of the original paintings, also prints and related gifts for cat lovers. The last sign I made was about the Scorpio, you can see my cat Riscas posing proudly next to the painting.
