My 41 Embroideries I Made By Using The Mixed Technique Of Embroidery And Printed Fabrics (41 Pics)
Hi, my name is Floor and my passion is embroidery. Lately I have been making embroidery pieces combined with printed fabrics. I started on this path because I wanted to experiment and make my embroidery pieces more interesting; in some ways this combination makes the embroidery more 'realistic' and some ways more abstract.
The starting point is making collages from images which I like, then having them printed on fabric. The embroidery is then used to highlight or add texture - it often makes people look twice at my embroidery pieces to see what is actually going on!
Every piece I make is unique and takes me at least 8hrs to make. Because they are all unique, not only is this fun for the person who will buy my embroidery pieces, but it also makes it fun for me to not make the same piece twice. I'm always on the lookout for images and patterns to use in my next piece!

I like this one. It actually looks like it took some skill and thought with the needle and thread.
This would be nice in a series of like desert and rock formations with vibrant colors like found in Utah in the U.S. The shapes and textured of the thread would be interesting
This is my favourite! Looking into the mist! I wonder what she sees...
This could be in a series with #5, and like #11. This is what I was talking about. It shows off your skill and centers around a good fluid idea. Great job!
I love the details of this one too! Who am I kidding, I love the details of all of them hahaha.
i am simply flabbergasted at this point. I love this one.
I love this, it it so cool how she even has marks from how she got over there.
ah the simplicity of this one makes me feel light on the inside... beautiful.
