It’s been 7 months since I last posted on Bored Panda, and I’ve proved to myself that practice pays off. I make needle felted animals. Needle felting is an intuitive art and I couldn’t explain the process if I tried, beyond “stabbing wool repeatedly”. Yet by sculpting in wool you have a chance to create hyper-realistic animals. I’ve been at it for two years and finally feel like my lofty goal of achieving such realism isn’t so unrealistic. And when I don’t overthink it, when I just let my intuition do its thing, my animals seem to come to life in my hands.
