I make wydmuszki covered in embroidery floss. Wydmuszki are a Polish tradition where you make a hole at both ends of an egg and blow out the egg contents. This leaves you with just the shell of the egg.
Every year my family sits down together to make Easter eggs. One year I decided to take a different approach with my wydmuszka and started to put embroidery floss on it. Ever since then Ive tried to create increasingly complicated images. It takes me several hours to complete an egg. Ranging from 4 hours to 12 hours – the time dependent on the design.
