I've been working in metal art for a few years now, and I LOVE to scour old farmsteads, flea markets and junkyards for rusty parts I can use in my work.
I decided to start a series of Barnyard Portraits to bring some of this farm rust 'back to life'.
I also make the glass eyes, which are custom made for each piece.

These are amazing! Honestly I would buy one if I could. But then again, they kind of creep me out. I don't know why but I am kind of scared of them. I would totally hang one up in my home though.
Ha! Thanks - nothing creepy about them in real life! :D (well except for the pig portrait on the metal pole stand has a 'Lord of the Flies' vibe to it! :D
Load More Replies...I absolutely love them. All of them are so creative and perfect. I don't know how you do this because metal can't be easy to work with, especially rusted metal. You nailed it! Please share more of your creations! Love it!
Thank you - and yes, I do fight with some pieces. Either the rust is heavy or it's cast iron - but I'll just make it work if the piece 'needs' to be there! :D You can view more on my website: www.CindyChinn.com - I do a lot of different things. ;)
