I Make 3d Pop-Up Cards For Every Occasion

When I was planning my wedding two years ago, I looked all over to find a unique Save The Date card design that would “wow” everybody invited to our small Texas ceremony. I ended up going with something cute and had a lovely wedding the following year, but I never stopped thinking about what I would do differently if I designed the cards myself.

A year ago, I quit my day job and decided to develop my own card company full-time. It’s been quite a roller coaster since then, but I couldn’t be more excited about the 3D Pop-Up card designs that I’ve developed since then. The cards fold flat for mailing and “pop” open into a surprise. I absolutely LOVE seeing the looks on people’s eyes when they open up one of my cards and see them come to life.

I think bright and solid blocks of color really make a statement, so that’s the style I use when I hand-make all kinds of fun designs. Turning a special vision into reality with a custom design is one of the most rewarding parts of my business. One bride wanted a design featuring her actual wedding venue, a Spanish Mission in Texas. A travel agent wanted to send Bon Voyage pop-up cards to his clients featuring a cruise ship, and liked it so much he asked for a Christmas cruise version!

Below you can see how the cards are made. I create my designs in Adobe Illustrator, which I taught myself specifically for this business. I use a Cricut electronic cutting machine to cut out the patterns on cardstock, and then I glue it all together. Made with love in Austin, Texas!
