Hello everyone!
I’m a freelance artist who makes art dolls, stop-motion puppets and models made from polymer clay. I made one of favorite painter’s work with polymer clay and embroidery. A kind of mixed media I can say. Here is the story behind this work:
I’ve had first encountered Gustav Klimt’s work during college. I can’t forget that moment because I was so struck by the style. And so Klimt and his contemporaries immediately became my favorite artists. The first time I saw his work up close was in 2008 during a temporary exhibit near the Lake Como in Italy, alongside Schiele and Kokoschka’s works. Although “The Kiss” wasn’t there back then, I finally managed to see it in Vienna in 2017 at Belvedere Palace. I was so in awe of the picture there, I even forgot to take a photo of myself with it. Art Nouveau became a passion for me since then and I adore everything with that style from buildings to statues… Seeing “The Kiss” was, in a way, crossing a very important item from my bucket list. I’ve managed to cross many other items in other museums over the years and I plan to share them in due time…
