I Love Photographing The Wildlife That Passes Through My Yard. This Year There Was Much More Than Usual.

My cat and I watch all the critters passing through the yard, and it’s a great source of entertainment. For some reason, maybe the drought, we had far more critters visiting than ever before. I joke that my cottage is a “wildlife blind,” for all the photos I’m able to get from inside (I even cleaned several windows just for that purpose). But I’ll go outside and try to get even better shots of the deer and foxes as they climb the hill into the woods.

Watching the does bring their fawns around is always a treat, and this year one fox brought her babies by several times. Baby foxes are extremely cute. Like puppies.

Hey there, Pandas! My name is Diana (though some prefer to refer to me as Diane, Deanna, and even Liana sometimes), and I am a Community Post Moderator Lead for Bored Panda. As my position title states, I am one of the people (employed Pandas for bamboo) over here who work with the community side of things on this website to ensure all is well, and while at that, I also help various creators and artists get recognition for the incredible work they do by connecting them to a large worldwide audience. Other than that, outside of work, you can find me brewing a nice cup of coffee, making a pizza from scratch, or baking brownies. I also love traveling, concerts, and cats (heavy on that, because I am a cat mom).

I think it's a special blessing to live among the animals! You must live in a graceful and peaceful place. May it stay that way!

thanks; it's surprisingly close to the downtown of a small city, but a little wooded area that supports plenty of critters
