We bought the black one and we used to use it outside all the time till my ex put his arm across the table touched the top of it and gave himself a star shaped burn that took months to fade. It was decorative after that.

    I have a inherited disability called Charcot-Marie-Tooth and as a result, I do have to be careful about the weight of my utensils (among other things). I'm sorry to hear you had an accident making these too heavy. It's strange most people don't even consider this as a potential problem. *hugs*

    I've never heard of CMT and had to check it out. Wow, that's not easy. I posted my scars in the post about dumb stuff we did. You have no scars; it's all inside.

    Only because I had a terrible accident and they are too heavy for my arm, even after 15 years. Edit: I bought these 2-3 years ago to replace the other ones that were too heavy as well.
