I Illustrate The Architecture And Design Of Disney Parks In Vivid Minimalism
As an 11 year old, my family took a dream trip to Walt Disney World in Florida and I instantly fell in love. In typical fashion, I became enamored with Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth (the golf ball), and a slew of other buildings made of magic. This was the start of my obsession.
In 2016, my best friend approached me to partake in a 100 Day Project on Instagram. At the time I was in a transitional period where I was preparing to move on from my then professional job and found it as an opportunity to build my illustration skills. What could hurt from trying new things? I made the decision to combine my love of graphic design, architecture, and Disney theme parks for the first 25 days of the project.
It was like fairy dust surrounded me to the sound of a fireworks spectacular. I felt so invigorated to make such cool stuff I was deeply passionate about. Since then I have continued to create illustrations of Disney architecture and characters-over 100 currently! Each composition is created anywhere between 2 hours to multiple days.
