I created these illustrations to depict how I feel every other day as I wait for a chance to leave my home country, Syria. With daily life routines becoming harder each day in Syria, the pressure of planning to leave the country has left me confused, exhausted, and emotional. Rather than bottling it all up, I decided to make these illustrations to cope with my feelings, and I have found this way to be very therapeutic. This style of art is something new to me, just like what I've been feeling lately, but change is a big part of art and life.

Don't feel alone! People on bored panda are feeling the same thing! We are all in this together! Keep up your great art and don't give up! I'm sure you are a great person and don't only stress out and work! Go do things you love! I believe in you!

This perfectly illustrates the mood of that first quiet alone moment after helping my children during a major self injurious meltdown. The shower is the perfect place to let it out.

I’m sorry that you need to leave your homeland. Syria contains so many beautiful world heritage sites, full of antiquities. It is a loss to all humanity for the country to be destroyed by war.
