I Illustrate Crazy Ballerina Costumes That Would Never Fly In Real Life, But Who Cares They’re Pretty!
When I was a little munchkin, I wanted to be a ballerina. While it’s clear I could never survive the rigors of this discipline, I can appreciate it’s beauty. Especially the costumes. Those fluffy, billowy tutus and shimmering sparkles were also a big part of the reason I loved ballet.
So, to pay homage to the art, I illustrated a set of fantasy costumes. Emphasis on fantasy. These would probably never be worn by those lithe dancers of the New York City Ballet, but they’ll exist in my mind.
Which are your favorite(s) and why? Which one would you wear if you were a ballerina?
