I did my very first origami crane about some time in April this year. It was no big deal, just popped out to me somewhere on the internet so I tried it. I started with ordinary white office paper and all of a sudden I see myself buying my first pack of origami paper :) I set myself a personal challenge of finishing one thousand of them – inspired by the Japanese story “Traditionally, it was believed that if one folded 1000 origami cranes, one’s wish would come true…” When I was asked what is my wish, I couldn’t think of one straight away so I just kept folding and here I am, almost three months later, with one paper bag full of colorful origami cranes.
It was fun. Might not be that big deal for some, but for me it is something I started and finished :)
Now let’s find out something else to keep me occupied :)
