I Have Been Tripping, Moving, And Cursing At This Case In My Fathers Attic For Almost 30 Years. I Opened It For The First Time Ever And Was Blown Away At What I Found.

For the last 30 years or so, I have been cursing at this case that was in the attic. I have been tripping over it, subbing my toe on it, picking it up every time I go up there because it was always falling over… moving it (it must weigh 80lbs or more)…. several times I just wanted to throw it away without even looking to see what was in it…. I’m so glad I never did. Because I opened it for the first time the other day and was blown away at what I found.

In the 1970’s my father attend Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. I knew that him and his friends opened an art gallery somewhere downtown during the 70’s, but I never knew much about it, or his friends.

In the last 10 years or so, he had been struggling with ALS, he was diagnosed officially two years ago, and passed away this year in January. After he passed, my wife and I set out to clean up his house, where we are now living.

I was amazed to find these original silkscreened posters from many of the gallery exhibitions they held at the Reject Gallery. I also discovered these two letters he had typed describing the gallery and the closing of it.

You should see what else I found that is even more amazing than these…. but, we will save that for another day.

I would frame these and use them to decorate my walls. Love them.
