A voyage of sensations through the desolate landscapes of what was once The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. From the barren countryside to the skyscrapers of the popular suburbs; empty houses, uninhabited and for sale.
A land that on the bowels has the blood of the many wars that have marked it. In the project I photographed also some memorials called Spomenik: these structures were commissioned by former Yugoslavian president Josip Broz Tito in the 1960s and 70s to commemorate sites where WWII battles took place, or where concentration camps stood.
