I was in a creative Rut, and worked on a series of images pulling out what I felt was the essence of the motion, energy, power and dedication athletes put into their craft.

These images were shot during collaborative shoots with athletes, during sport events I was working on and during commercial shoots for which I would pull a couple of images for the series.

This is how Blurry Lines came to life, and the rationale behind it :

What is the state of mind of an athlete? Clairvoyant, result driven, totally dedicated, focused on the result, but at the same time human, filled with doubts, with questions, which he does not let in his mind in order to be able to go forward and to conquer what he decided to dedicate his life to.

This personal Blurred Lines project cuts through codes, slices into realism, and blends sport, energy, and power while approaching personal vision, and conceptual art that one does not dare imagine in the world of commercial photography. Throughout the world, in Switzerland, in France, in Europe, and two-wheeled sportsmen, on two legs, artists of the little queen, they define the essence of what is human in all its splendor.

The objective was not a perfect camera shake or a visual panning, but simply chaos organized within efforts whose molecules of the body are subject to as much movement as molecular anarchy.

For the technical people interested, the whole series was, shot on a Fujifilm X-T3 mainly and a few on the Fujifilm X-H1 which was my second body.

The project is Ongoing and I believe should last me a lifetime as I have many new sports to cover.
