I am an artist in the USA that specializes in unique pet portraits filled with humor and personality. I share my studio with my perfect rescue pups, adoring adopted cats, and two judgmental parakeets.

Every October, artists around the world begin an art challenge to create a piece of art every day of the month. This year I chose the theme of “cats” and thus my “Catober” project began. I thought it would be hilarious to have a cat marching band. I researched instruments and uniforms, but as the project progressed, instruments became more outlandish and the feathered hats started to become characters as unique as the cats themselves. I wanted to challenge myself to play within limits and kept my palette mostly limited to black, red, and gray. My goal for each drawing was to make myself laugh and I hope this feline parade will bring a smile to anyone who needs a pick-me-up.

For dog lovers, don’t fret! I am currently working on “Pupvember” and you can follow the pack on my Instagram which is listed down below!

Wow, I am smitten with your work. I collect postcards illustrated by the Victorian Master cat illustrator Louis Wain, and I see the same playful emotion in your work. https://www.collectorsweekly.com/articles/original-catfluencer/ Also; I saw work on your website that you created for MADACC; both my cats were adopted there!

Truth be told, this is a correct description of what I hear at 5:30 in the morning.

I'm not criticising or anything, but I play the flute and it's round the wrong way :)

If this is supposed to be a trumpet, it looks more like a cornet or mellophone, but I ain't complaining.

When I'm trying to play my part in the orchestra, a fricking piccolo screeches in my ear. Hella annoying. The musicians themselves are quite nice, though.
