I love looking at the beautiful art created by the great masters of the past, but I hate seeing all the blemishes and stains, and how faded they’ve become over time.
My grandfather did restoration for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and brought old paintings back to life, and I thought, I could do that digitally from home. So, I did.
I find it mesmerizing to watch the blemishes, tears, and water stains disappear, and the colors bloom as I work on the images.
