I think that common objects often go overlooked when it comes to taking cool photos, so I wanted to shoot something that you don’t see very often! Conkers (the seeds of the horse chestnut tree).
They are really strange and unique things, and as the outer shell splits apart, that shiny and dark interior begins to show.
It took some fiddling around with lighting to get the exposure right and show off the detail, but I’m really happy with the results!
